I don’t drink coffee either. And the point is that if EVERY APP is the cost of a cup of coffee in perpetuity, it all adds up. Even still, psychologically, I can’t withstand any more subscriptions. ENOUGH. Charge $39.99 or something and I’m in. Let me purchase the product and leave me alone. Nice game mechanics but poor pay structure. I want to pay ONCE. Not monthly. Not annually. Let me make a one time purchase and be DONE. Hate this subscription model for simple games like SOLITAIRE. Also wish there was a way to turn off the moving coin graphics altogether. Watching the ads after requesting the game to restart does not actually reset the game 10% of the time. If you watch an ad for a card, it will not reflect,so no point of additional ad. All of this just makes me not want to go as often on the game, and also loose interest in the cards which is the main differentiation from other apps but since it doesn’t work properly it’s lost value. I’m a returning player, I used to played the game but uninstall because I lost interest in solitaire and was kinda busy with life, when I got back, it changed and I think it’s a worse change to be honest with you. I mean the overheating and sudden screen freezing that gets rid of my progress is also unfortunate, but the weird pop up ad is wayyy more concerning right now. Like great graphics, love the game itself, but should I be concerned about this? -- omgwhynicknamessohard, 2023-11-12 ### **--- "Good Feel, Bad Economy" This is the best feeling and prettiest solitaire game out, but the changes to how coins work made it impossible to get new decks. Even when you watch ads. Coins don’t buy decks anymore, they just unlock the ability for RNG rolls for cards. Used to get a new deck every couple months. Wasn’t able to get a single new deck since the change was made. They included cards you already own and duplicates in the the free ones you get after a game which means every deck you unlock makes it harder for you to get new cards. At 52 cards per deck, if you have more than 3 or 4 decks it takes literally thousands of games (and thus thousands of ads) to get new cards, and the cards you get don’t add up to a deck. -- Mrbokbagok, 2023-09-28 ### ****- "Addicted but coins?" I’ve totally gotten addicted to playing spider before going to sleep. I’m anxiously awaiting gathering all the cards in a deck. BUT what are the coins for?!?!! They have NO purpose! You get more coins on Friday… but for what? What can they be used for??? There is no redeem or exchange or card “buying”. Any option found in the menu is for actual purchasing - which coins are included in those packages. But why?!!??? -- Esigns, 2023-09-09 ### ***-- "Love it, but the ads…" This is the most aesthetically pleasing and fun solitaire app I’ve found. Collecting different decks is really fun, and flicking the cards is really satisfying. I also enjoy that it has more card games than just solitaire. However, the ads almost make the game unbearable to play. You get an ad every single time you finish a game. Even just restarting a level or going to the menu prompts an ad sometimes! Yes, the ads are only 5 seconds long, but they’re so aggressive and plentiful that the short length really doesn’t make it feel better. I honestly would prefer 30 second ads that show up less often, having my gameplay interrupted constantly is just too irritating. I would 100% buy an IAP to remove the ads, but all they offer is a subscription… I get the reasoning, but a subscription is extremely unappealing and judging by the reviews some people feel the same. The subscription already offers more perks than just getting rid of ads, so I don’t see why a separate “no ads” IAP can’t exist alongside it. That would take the game to 5 stars for me. A small nitpick as well: it takes extremely long to complete decks because I just keep getting duplicate cards. I love this game but I’d also love to see some changes to how advertising is handled.
