Flighty – Live Flight Tracker

I love the app for the UI and UX but every time I use it the information is incorrect and outdated within Europe.

the design of the app is great and the UI is very responsive and everything works fine in terms of functionality. However, when it comes to flight in Europe the support is minimal if not zero. Aircraft are assigned quite late when it’s not useful (other sources like FR have already the tails way earlier). When it comes to flights outside Europe (eg Africa or Asia) coverage is quite limited as well. The developers try their best, however they also are quite arrogant into thinking they cover more flights than they think they do. All in all, too expensive for the paid versions, just use FR with filters and you should be fine and use flighty for the logging.

Actually such a good app. It has all the data nicely compiled and easy to reach. Most of it is 100% accurate. Some aspects are still to be adjusted but there are frequent updates and the errors are minor and don't impact daily usage. Also love the friends feature.

I bought the one year plan to try the app, and I must say its extremely convenient to have a summary of your future flights so accessible. A simple screenshot and anyone can know when I’ll be where. That combined with the flight history functionality really gives a great perspective of my life as a traveller. However those features can be relatively easily achieved (even exceeded! Since not all data can be accessed in this app) in a spreadsheet with some discipline, or alternatively in a few months by a solo programmer. And, unfortunately, there isnt much more to the app. Every real-time feature has failed to provide me with accurate information, and many times I had to resort to other means. Rarely the gate information is updated, and at least I happen to experience changes more often then not. Maybe their data sources in Europe (I’m based in Schiphol) just aren’t good enough, but having an app that aims at such an immersive experience lie to you is just unacceptable.

For the non frequent flyer this app is far too expensive. I would like to add old flights but not for this price.

The best app for flights and travel. Super fun to also get a nice overview of all the counties and flags you’ve collected. Premium is so dope as well. It auto imports flights into the app and just works sooo well Would love to be able to add some old flights from 10 years ago to get a super overview of literally everything i’ve ever been to… but I understand thats not for everyone

Compared to the App in the Air app, this is very expensive. I use to have a lifetime subscription at App in the Air for €50, and Flighty lifetime subscription is literally €299!!! That’s insane. Especially if you compare it to App in the air which had so many features like booking flights/hotels whatever you needed. I hope the price will go down otherwise I won’t use it. I also can’t log my flights from years and years ago without going Premium.

I have to say this is by far the most beautiful app in this sector I have ever seen. But that’s all I can say positively about it if you are outside NAM. Based in AMS and my experience is that most of the flight are not provided with all the information as marketed. Tail numbers are not updated until last minute or even remain blank after landing. Delays are not shown properly, sometimes did not appear at all. What’s worse is that in some cases, the departure and landing time are not shown at all, which is totally unacceptable for an app boasting its best in class information, especially I was flying with KLM from AMS. It’s even worse in APEC. I had to stop my subscription because of the poor performance. I hope this can be fixed in the near future, as they are all the core functionalities for such an app.

First impression is good, but the lifetime pack is just too expensive. Who knows if this app still exists in six years? I'm looking for alternative for appintheair that suddenly shutdown. Would be great if this app supports import of appintheair flight history

I bought a subscription, and your app doesn’t show gates info. App in the air shows it, so there’s no excuse. Figure it out!!! I’m canceling my subscription, wishing you luck with your useless and expensive app.
