Very good app, nice layout, helpful info. Weekly price could be a bit lower considering for most flights it is only really relevant for a few hours, and being able to add boarding cards to the app would be cool Other thing is a lack of charter flights being available. Flightradar is able to find flight numbers and routes of charter flights, but flighty can’t.
There was an intitial delay of 1 hour, which flighty picked up no problem, 20 min before the rescheduled take off, another 1 hour delay was announced and flighty didn’t pick it up until 20 min after the fact. It was pretty accurate with the gate arrival time.
Flighty is great, and reports updates before anything else I encountered. No idea how they get the data that fast and that accurate. If you fly often, Flighty will save you lots of time - as simple as that. It was a no brainer for me to get the lifetime pro license after my first flight using it. During the Crowdstrike global IT meltdown in July 2024 it alerted me on my watch that my flight is being cancelled an hour before BA reported it, which let me quickly find an alternative flight to get home to my family on the same day, while most other people were stranded for days while the backlogs were resolved. It also lets you track other people’s flights or share your status with them, so no unnecessary airport waits. The only reason why this is not a 5 star review is down to it being only for apple platforms for now, so I can’t get my family on it yet.
Best flight tracker I’ve ever used
Really like the app, use it every time I fly. Gives lots of helpful information plus notifications which is nice. You do need premium really, but thankfully you can pay weekly if you don’t travel often although it’s £4 a week which is a little much in my opinion, but I can see why it’s priced like that. I do like the history feature where I can see a map of where I’ve flown + stats about which planes, airlines, etc.
This is a wonderfully design app and I am willing to pay for it, but £50 a year is way too much given it often fails to pick up delays.
This app is beautiful and excellent in every respect. It’s really worth the money if you travel often. The calendar syncing is excellent, live activities are superb, the passport showing your travel history is really clever, and it’s available on all platforms (watch, iPhone/iPad, macOS).
30 mins before flight still no gate info. Not worth the money.
This app is great for tracking flights you know about in your past, I have managed to backtrack to 2022. It is a shame about having to pay for the app at a certain point but if your a frequent flyer it is well worth the small fee for the developer
I used Flighty to track my son’s flights around the world on his first long-haul trip - being able to actually watch the planes in real time, even racing around the airports was great fun, and the alerts etc were very useful. Recommended.
