WEATHER
Interactive weather layers include animated radar, global satellite and winds aloft, global icing, turbulence, and surface analysis, graphical AIR/SIGMETs, flight category, visibility, and more. View decoded METARs, TAFs, and a 10-day general forecast. Generate a PDF briefing that combines graphical forecast charts, color-coded METARs/TAFs, and NOTAMS for your route. ForeFlight’s state-of-the-art map engine gives the app its signature speed and fluidity when panning and zooming. No european airports charts at all
Freezes and crashes constantly on M4 iPad Pro.
It would be swell if the app I paid $500/year for didn’t constantly freeze and crash on my brand new iPad Pro. App gets stuck and won’t even load until I restart the iPad. This is completely unlike anything I’ve ever experienced from ForeFlight. So disappointing. Completely unusable for flight planning.
This App Saves Lives
If you’re looking between buying ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot the choice is quite easy. Although the apps are very similar, the ForeFlight interface is so much better. This app increases the safety of pilots by billions. Without ForeFlight My job would be much harder as a pilot and I would not feel as confident in the left seat. Trust me for flight saves lives and helps you pass check rides.
Great update
The new aviation keyboard is fantastic! Thank you. My biggest wish would be the ability to mange all my Jeppesen databases for Cirrus Perspective Touch Plus so I can stop the subscription to Garmin Pilot (which I hate with passion, both the app and that useless subscription which is only good for database updates; total scam).
Trash app
Loads iPhone with data and when you stop paying for the app you can’t delete it, I have 9 gigabytes of data I can’t get rid of from this app
Phenomenal customer service
I have been flying with ForeFlight for over 15 years. I own a 2004 Cessna 182 with the G1000 suite that has been upgraded to the G1000Nxi I rely more on the ForeFlight than the G1000 I have had VERY few problems with ForeFlight but when the rare one occurs I always have a response in less than 30 minutes. Customer service is what makes or breaks a business and ForeFlight understands this concept. Now, if they could teach other companies to do the same it would be a huge benefit to the end user like me. Allen Brinckerhoff
