Pretty snappy but clearly just a web view. The most useful feature would be actual push notifications which it doesn’t offer.

Ridiculous onboarding process!!!

The sign up process via mobile app is confusing. You might need to hire a dedicated product manager or UX researcher to make the user experience better.

The new Forem app makes it so much easier for me to fuel my DEV and CodeNewbie Community obsession wherever I am (which is currently at the Dentist). Cheers for community connection on the go!

Love the fact that all the platforms are on one app. Makes it easier to navigate around

Just being straight up about this place, reading the review or not. Just try the app out. =] It doesn't even have to be only about programming, there's all kinds of communities. I'm in a few, but only mess around in Dev so far. I have tried numerous communities, never stuck around for long. Didn't seem to be the place for me, people, atmosphere, just the general mindset of people. That's all I have to say about that. Back to Forem! Just getting it to check out the Dev section alone is worth it. The "unorganized" play it has is actually (coming from somebody who's majorly OCD) refreshing. Has all kinds of good reads, friendly people, awesome information, resources, source, etc. From the moment I posted there, it was an awesome experience to be honest and for the most part, I don't like most people, hahaha. Seriously though, they don't bash you on your questions! They're understanding, friendly, helpful, and just good people it seems. I really, really recommend giving it a shot. Even if you're shy, just do a small, small post about what you're interested in and that's all. Or just bookmark the interesting stuff, it has truly brought a new light to this "journey". Use your Apple account to register, simple, no extra hassle. If you did read this, thanks! Hope the place is as good for you as it is for me.

I love having access to all my communities within one app. I’m primarily a user of DEV but I love having all the smaller more specialized communities within easy reach. So far it’s been an excellent experience and easy to switch between communities. Thanks for the great work on this!

What a fantastic company, I’ve learned so much from Forem communities. It’s so easy to contribute and be engaged with the conversation which is why I keep coming back!
