There’s ads before every video 2-3 and sometimes upto a minute long. If using on iPhone there’s no PIP so you can’t do anything else on your phone. If you’re paying money for a streaming service you shouldn’t have ads, defeats the whole point. Used my free trial and won’t be buying off these looneys

some got that right two years ago.  You can hardly call it an app - so painfully slow laggy pausing hanging. - all on 100/20 wifi every other streaming app does just that it streams.   If foxtel hangs altogether it doesn’t remember where it was so then you go throught the painful adds and then have to swipe it to where you think you were in the hopes of picking up the programme in the right space.   Foxtel you should hang up your boots and go into another business - you are certainly bottom of the pile in this one.

Foxtel when I was a kid wasn’t half bad but now with all the micro transactions and extensions and add ons as well as ads on pay t.v., fox is literally taking the Mickey. So glad it’s being brutally bashed in the comments! 
I think foxtel with inevitably die out against the actually good streaming apps etc, even the elderly has caught on to this in my family and abandoned the overpriced fossil that is fox now. All their licenses are for outdated things and newer licenses are going to Netflix etc. I’m sure they are seeing the loses better than anyone! 

Also please note that I do not need tech support or team chat to tell you how to do a better job. Actually read my comment and take in what everyone else is saying or perish as a company/ employee for said company. Eat the rich and greedy! Enjoy your downfall.

I have enjoyed this formerly excellent app for many years… until the most recent version. It loses track when you cast. It will start casting fine, but as soon as your phone/iPad locks, it seems to forget it was playing and doesn’t remember the show, and you can no longer pause. You need to cancel streaming and restart the show, scan to where you stopped, then start casting again.

How They Can Fix It:

	•	Add Skip Buttons: This is literally a 5-minute coding job for their dev team. Skipping forward/backward in 10-second increments is the gold standard for every streaming app.
	•	Fine Scrubbing: Whether it’s holding the handle for slower scrubbing, pinch-to-zoom timelines, or adding a scrubbing wheel, they need to make timeline navigation precise.
	•	Testing with Real Users: Clearly, they haven’t tested this with an actual, diverse user base—including people with larger fingers or those unfamiliar with advanced scrubbing techniques.

Why This Matters:

Foxtel is already competing with way more polished apps in a crowded market. If basic functionality is this frustrating, users are going to keep leaving bad reviews, which will ultimately hurt adoption and retention.

Can’t chromecast again just for a change. I use the app so I can then connect and watch on my tv but every single time I use the Foxtel go app without doubt, I get the “Foxtel Go error code PE8000”. But also now if it even works, I have just spent the last hour with an online customer service who sent me various links to reset my password and then download again, and I still get the error. Absolutely disgraceful. Have been a paid Foxtel member for over 20 years and it’s time to unsubscribe I think.
