You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2] You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to: * View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history * Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2] * Add notes to track your food, insulin use and exercise * See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns * Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3] SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone. Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. Often provided with “wait 10min” message several times in a row at a time when testing is crucial. Sensor often reacts with a “replace sensor” at this stage. Replacement sensors are available but not likely you will receive them unless following up for several weeks. Call centre advises they are limited to how much they can assist you so pass you to SA reps who don’t answer or respond to calls. It is extremely annoying and quite off putting considering it’s a device used to monitor blood glucose and you can’t really if you need to scan the sensor every couple of minutes. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled and restarted my phone numerous times and still it continues to disconnect. My phone is always on me, so range isn’t an issue. I have an iPhone running the latest iOS. Very happy about the introduction of the libre 2 sensors and app. It would be nice to snooze alarms when receiving high alerts, as opposed to dismissing them and you are no longer alerted. I’m also sure that an algorithm could be written to flag trends where readings are spiking, and similarly when dropping quickly. Please also provide support for Apple Watch. At first back in 2021 it was really good but after about only 3 or 4 updates the app has been ridden with bugs and glitches. Where the app won’t let you scan. And you have to scan 3 times to get a reading. It has been so bad. The fact that there are no regular updates shows that the app development has been neglected.
