CleanPro: Storage Clean Up

Pretty much unusable now. Such a shame, as this was a great app. Would pay a subscription if it worked.

EDIT: the below review no longer stands as this feature has been broken for months and I have gotten no response from developers. After not finding a safari ad blocker that worked well enough with Facebook came across this. The ability to filter out Facebook posts using strings like “suggested for you” and “sponsored” is perfect. Highly recommended. All the other features are a bonus.

It doesn't block trackers as it boasts. The app also tracks you pretty heavily in ways that are not required for functionality. Moreover the trackers of the accounts you access can track you across browser tabs (implying the app doesn't use containers) meaning that logging into one account and accessing another in the same session allows the other pages to access your data in another as you use it.

Came across from using the free Friendly app. There seems to be zero practical difference between the two apps. Sponsored and Suggested For You posts fill my feed and drive out nearly everything else. The option in the settings to hide stories isn’t working. And so on. I can find no actual difference between this paid app and the free version. Don’t waste your money. In fact, Facebook functions better in my browser than in either app.

Can’t event download my own IG reels

Has limited Facebook functionality? Only shows posts from the past 24 hours then shows them all again like it’s on repeat? I only access Facebook once a week so it’s pointless using Friendly to catchup if I can only see one-days worth of posts?

I don't know what's happening, this used to be a good app but things are disappearing all the time, crashing in the middle of a post, navigation icons are missing. Really disappointing

This was once, bar none, the best way to use Facebook on any iOS device, but that time has since passed. Opening Facebook on this app does no more than open the mobile website, and the previously user-friendly interface which included a bar at the bottom for going to different parts of Facebook is now gone. Worse still, sponsored posts are no longer hidden. And when you try to report these issues through the settings on the app, all you get is a message saying “No email configured on this device”. There is now, tragically, no difference between using Friendly Plus and simply opening Facebook on Safari for iPhone.

Used to be a great app, blocks ads and uses less data. Paid for it. Now it’s basically useless in blocking ads. Don’t waste your money.
