Garmin Connect™

The last versions of the app are ZERO. If the app is started, the graphs with the data are generally empty. The developers of the app don’t seem to use Garmin devices, they would see how user-unfriendly this app is. The developers and other responsible persons for this app should be fired.

As always, needs are different. In my case I need the app mostly for running, cycling, hiking and a tad of fitness. So far, so good. I’m an amateur, maybe an enthusiast to some level. What I‘m looking for in a an app is that it‘s easy to use. I don‘t mind if you have a kind of advanced app, but the first approach should always be ease of use. If it isn‘t there, then I just skip that app. Simple as that. But since I own a couple Garmin products, it‘s not that easy…Whilst the old app had a dashboard which maybe was a bit too simple for some folks, it gave you a very easy look at the latest activity and some basic metrics, pretty graphic at first glance and then a tad cluttered if you were scrolling, but still alright. And you could still dive deeper if you liked too. Now you have tons of customization, which I personally didn‘t ask for (heck, there‘s a reason I choose Apple products!) but the final result is still inferior to the old app. Ease of use is key! Hate is a strong word but I really, really dislike the new ui. If I hadn‘t a bunch of Garmin products, this really would be a reason to at least take a look at what other brands do. I like to say that this is my opinion, ymmv and your opinion too, but with that ui in place, I‘ll hold the app at 1 star.

Please bring the previous design back! The new one is a nightmare…

Unable to pair with the iphone. It is impossible to pair the Forerunner 45 with the iphone, because you can not enter the numbers in the forseen fueld in the garmin connect app.
