Does not work with an iPhone 16
Garmin Pilot has nearly every feature of ForeFlight for significantly less money. It’s easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was shorter subscription options for when I rent a plane while traveling abroad. A 1 month add-on option outside your primary region would be great!
Used it for years across a variety of devices. Something was changed in the last 3 months, now it is rubbish and unusable Have been in touch with Garmin frequently and have wasted days deleting and reloading app but it continues to crash all the time. Not sure what the root cause is, but this app is now basically unusable for me
Finally changed over to Foreflight. Very disappointing customer support for European operators from Garmin and the tardy updates of national charting is woefully inadequate. The system has become laggy and after being left with laggy carts and delays being to access IFR charts enough was enough. We operate Morden (new) iPads so it is clearly a Garmin Pilot system conflict. Foreflight operates quickly and smoothly and has great customer support. Very disappointing as we have used Pilot from aircraft delivery.
A few things missing that I would like to see. 1. More third party connectivity I.e avidyne 2. Printable PLOG for VFR in UK Thing it does well. 1. Checklists 2. General look and feel 3 Split Screen
Pretty useless compared to ForeFlight, even in Europe. Use it for database concierge and that’s it.
I’ve used Pilot for years, and prefer it to other competitors for the most part. However, it still does not show notams visually on the map like Sky Demon does. I therefore still have to use Sky Demon if I want to see those. Come on Garmin, it’s been a long time and still this feature is missing.
I tried to set up the aircraft profile. After putting a load of data in, it gives the options Import from aircraft Clone aircraft Delete aircraft What? What is that supposed to mean? Whatever I do, anything I have already input is wiped out. I give up on it. Maybe I’m stupid, but shouldn’t it cater for stupid people? Without putting in an aircraft profile you cannot do anything else. Hence- useless. And how do you get help from Garmin? You have to put in a serial number. Does an App have a serial number?
Can’t even get the basics right like UK airfield frequencies despite me messaging support for 3 months.
