App is horribly coded
After spending thousands on a chair with an app I was excited to give it a go. The app has more features than the attached remote but is a mess of counterintuitive options, poor English, ambiguous descriptions, and other annoyances. For example when I try to adjust the foot roller it does nothing at first, but then starts going back and forth between “off” and “1” many times before settling on my choice. Perhaps the worst is that it has no option to remember the chair—asking me which Bluetooth device to connect to every time I start a new session. Do people really have so many Genesis Max massage chairs on their home that this makes any sense? I get that they are a massage chair company, not a software company but hiring a software company to assist isn’t difficult. Nor is finding someone who speaks English to proofread. They make an amazing chair with lots of features and if you don’t care to customize the automatic modes seem to work fine. However they make it way too hard to get proper value out of the chair because of all these problems.
