Seems by far the best companion when on activity. Absolutely loved it!
This is a great app on iPhone and Apple Watch but when I installed it on my iPad Pro I was unable to synch it to my premium account created on my iPhone. On iPad it asks me to start from scratch with a new account and no option to log into a previously created one. Although I gave permission on my Apple health data on iPhone and iPad nothing synchs on iPad
Gentler Streak, an app I highly recommend, is displeased with me because I have spent two days of strenuous forestry, which clashes with its health maintenance tenets. Its focus on recovery and maintenance makes it an app I wholeheartedly endorse, distinct from those aimed at athletes.
I have dysautonomia exacerbated by long Covid and I’ve been finding this app incredibly helpful for slowly building stamina and feeling better about taking extremely crucial rest days. After a few months I’ve gone from logging a couple minutes of walking or chores to logging hours of hiking and aerobics. Your mileage may vary, but this is one of the most accessible (and gentlest) apps out there.
This app kept yelling me to go gentler until i eventually got down to only walking and yoga. It was STILL telling me I was going too hard! Needless to say Its not a good motivator for me at all. I am requesting a refund.
Graphics are nice. I paid $28 for the premium version only to find out it gives me nothing more than the free Apple health app provides. If I want more I really need to spend nearly $60. Pricing not transparent at all and so I cancelled the subscription.
I’m a fit older outdoor enthusiast. Go Gentler has nailed the right balance of reasonable health info without the hyperbole. Way to go!
The app has a great looking UI and the functionality is exactly what I was looking to ensure that I am pushing the right amount during my trainings. However it has 2 major flows that really really bother me. 1. The app does not sync on Strava or any other major "social fitness" platform. In 2024 this is really unacceptable. Everyone is connected and we like to maintain the social pressure as part of our motivation for working out. Just this flaw will translate in me not using Gentle Streak on the apple watch to track the runs, meaning that I am not able to use the great "body battery" indicator... 2. The app is awesome to give you information on what to do today. It does not provide you with an upcoming plan for the week/month. That would be great to prepare properly and, if needed, organize the agenda accordingly. We are all busy and the possibility to prepare an adjustable plan will be more than welcome. There are pros and cons in every app, but these 2 items (particularly #1) are so annoying that I wonder if I should maintain the subscription....
