Google devrait proposer un abonnement global pour l’ensemble de ses publications. C’est frustrant comme lecteur de ne pas avoir accès à l’intégralité d’un article parce qu’il nécessite un abonnement. Il y a presque 100 sources différentes d’où proviennent les nouvelles sur Google c’est impossible d’avoir un abonnement à chacune d’elles. Pourquoi ne pas proposer un accès illimité à tous les contenus via un abonnement unique à Google actualités!!!

Overall I like the app and variety of newspapers we have acces to. My biggest complaint is that often, i clickon an article and it tells me i need a subscription. But if i simply Goggle the article, i can read it in its entirety. Why can google news not give me the same access as a google search?

All I get is biased news about the British royal family. It's always negative regarding Harry and Meghan, and positive when it comes to Kate. Aside from the fact that I do not care about these people, it's weird. What did Meghan and Harry ever do to Google? If there is a way to block certain topics, I cannot find it. This app is a mess. Uninstalling.

The algorithm is showing me mostly stuff I care nothing about. The more I select "don't show news from this site" the more it shows me the contents I'm uninterested in, but from other sites.. needs way more options to filter news stories and more buttons to tell the algorithm what you do and don't like. This is embarrassing coming from Google lol

If you like watching ads, especially the annoying ones where the videos pop up and stay on the screen until you close it, then this is the app for you. In between the ads you will get to read news articles in tiny fonts for a minute until another ad pops up. Enjoy!

The app works well. I used to use it a lot. 

Unfortunately, ever since Canada passed media censorship laws and other laws limiting or restricting foreign media accessibility, I can’t find any good unbiased media on Google News anymore. It’s filled with only-Canadian nonsense and tons of anti-conservative articles and Israeli brainwashing. Before these laws, I felt that I was able to see local or global news from various perspectives, neutral or not; but nowadays it’s just a whole lot of evident brainwashing and filler articles.

It’s honestly a shame things turned out this way :(

I have used this app often but there have been some major frustrations lately. First, not being able to left swipe from a news article back to the home page is very annoying. I have to scroll all the way to the top of the article page and close it to get back to the home page. Second, video and ad autoplay is happening even when switched off in the settings. This is a deal breaker for me.

Google News was great until the iOS 17 update. Even when my setting for Video autoplay is turned off, they keep playing! Sometimes I can’t even see a video playing but the sound will still play. Sometimes it’s the sound from a video from a different article. This was never an issue before but now it is so irritating that I have stopped using the app.

My biggest issue is that after browsing news articles for only a little bit (10-15 min), my phone will start to get hot and won’t cool down unless I completely close the Google News app. 

It’s the only app I’ve had this issue with, and it also stems across two different phones (14 Pro, 15 Pro Max).

Great app, but I don’t like how swiping back takes you to the previous story instead of the main/home page/list. That takes 2 swipes.
