Google Play Books & Audiobooks

All my purchased books are coming up blank even if downloaded. I have purchased so many ebooks throughout the years to no longer have access is frustrating and needs to be fixed! Clearly others have had the same problems and nothing has changed.

All of a sudden there is an error when uploading epub files from emails or BookFunnel to iPhone Tried to contact you through app and not able too

The app won’t read epubs at all. Just blank pages. I can view my uploaded epubs just fine on my PC browser version of Google Play, but switch to the app and it just won’t read. Very disappointing.

Sadly this effort is notably inferior to Apple’s Books. Keeps crashing and failing to render the next page, which can only be remedied by closing and relaunching. Footnote pop ups fail all too often, and render as black-on-black when lighting set to warm. Lacks basic typographic elements such as automatic hyphenation. Clearly this app has received little attention and is only barely usable. Yes, of course this is the latest version, and it still keeps crashing. But sure, go ahead and ignore the issue.

Works as intended

I use to be able to purchase books on this app.. Not sure Why I no longer can..

No link to buy so I on iOS as I am - tough as the only mention is of google play store. I am deleting this and using alternative/far superior apps.

The app seems in general a cut below kindle and even basic PFD readers. But more specifically, the inability to copy/paste text and the lack of options to customise text. Really puts this app in the realm of apps I don’t use unless I absolutely have no choice but to. I’ve seen these same lack of features elsewhere and it seems to stem from an overprotection of material from theft. Which is understandable from their perspective, but the bottom line is that it’s still an app that is frustrating to use and doesn’t come close to the competition.

Good app let down by 3 big faults that Google have never fixed. 1. Books can't be sorted manually into series order. This can make finding the next book in a series really difficult. 2. There's no vertical scrolling. 3. There's no clock while reading. Google keep updating the app but fail to deal with the faults so many people will buy elsewhere costing Google money.
