IoS user here. there isn’t an option to open news articles in a new tab. the Google Chrome allows that by holding the story and opening it via the pop up menu. The articles also refresh too quickly. sometimes, you miss out on articles you want to read. once you revert to the home page, after reading an article, a different set of articles appear.
