I think this is one of the better ones. I really like this app. You can make a pantry list of the things you buy most often and then you can easily move the items you need to your shopping list without having to type in the item. I also love that you can order the categories to match your stores layout, so you can move through the store and see what’s on your list where you are in the store. Once you put the item in your cart, you touch the circle next to the item on your list and the item is removed. So you know that you’re done with that item. You can create new categories, add pricing and shop any way that is comfortable for you. The only complaint I have is that the categories don’t seem to stay where I put them. So I have to re-order them. It’s not hard but just something I don’t think I should have to do. My MAIN issue with the app is the duplicate categories in the SCROLLING section won’t delete. When I click on the menu on the upper right, and then click on “manage categories” and then I delete any duplicate categories, it’s works there. But then when I try to enter an item into the grocery list, and I have to scroll to find the category, all of the duplicate categories will still be in the scroll section. There are a few categories that have 2-4 duplicates that I can’t delete! Then I have to guess which duplicate my other items are already listed on, and if I guess the wrong one, it will create a duplicate category in the “manage categories” again. Please make it to when you delete a category from the “manage categories” section, that it deletes it from the scroll as well. My 2nd issue with the app is that when I tap and hold and item and then try to scroll up to move it to a different category, it will glitch and not allow me to smoothly move up the screen until I get to my desired category. I have to stop and let go of the item, scroll my list down, and then continue pushing it up the list multiple times until I get to my desired category. What would really make this a better experience is having a configuration option to turn off “crowdsourced” items. I don’t want to always see 5 different (mis)spellings of Bananas. I just want to see the items I have entered myself. It would also be helpful if it didn’t try to contact the internet when I open it. Or at least make it happen in the background. My grocery store doesn’t have good cell reception once I step inside so I can’t always open the app unless it’s already open.
