This has got to be one of the most amazing apps out there! It uses GPS to find your location and guide you. It plays automatically and has the coolest information you’ll ever hear. And the best part is, the guide is down to earth funny! Our family laughed and learned things at the same time. I wish they had more tours!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This app transformed our Maui vacation. We absolutely loved learning history of the island, as well as unique facts that were shared along each drive. Worth every penny!
Great for National Parks
We enjoyed the Glacier, Yellowstone and Teton audio tours on our summer roadtrip. It even kept the kids entertained.
Road to Hāna Maui
We used the road to Hāna audio tour and it was as accurate and educational as it was interesting. All the sights to see were covered and parking directions were given well in advance so we could be prepared to pull in at the appropriate places. The commentary during the drive back about the Hawaiian people history was so interesting that we did not even notice how quickly the time passed. Really nice experience!
Best gift for travelers
If you have traveled with me at all, you probably have heard me mention the #guidealong app. Instead of running off cell service, which is pretty much non-existent in most national parks, it is GPS guided . It gives such amazing history, fun facts, stories, and lets you know which is the best turn offs to take As a bonus, if you purchase a package, like the East Coast, or the West Coast, then when they issue new tours, you get a discount. What a wonderful surprise to find out they just added saguaro national Park and Mount Lemmon. We learned so much !!! One of the best purchases we have ever made as a family . The app itself is free, but then you pay for the tours. Once you own them, you own them for life. As a bonus there have been times we were in areas where we couldn’t get Google maps, but we had the Maps in the guide along app. It also has a section for each tour that helps you prepare for the drive, gives you a sample itinerary, let you know if there are fees for parking, even what clothes to pack . For those people who don’t know what to get someone for Christmas, if they love to travel, buy them this! It is so cool !!
