Secondly, there's detail lacking to enable you to learn songs accurately. For example, when you use the 'Diagrams' option it overlays right in the middle of the video. Not too helpful. But worst of all it doesn't reflect arpeggio sequences on the diagrams, so quite how you learn the example included I don't know. Try 'CoachGuitar'. I discovered this app and tried a couple out. Within hours I was hooked as I was able to quickly pick up the basics. I bought an electric guitar weeks later and again the same. I was quickly picking up riffs and making progress that would not have been possible working from books. This is first rate and my only reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of information on what effect pedals to use and a bit extra on some of the more complex movements. Taking the fairly difficult free song Sweet Home Alabama as an example, there is just not enough detail to enable you to play the song as per the featured player. The chords are straight forward enough, but the lead parts are not described at all. I found far better lessons on this song on YouTube at no charge. The lessons are superb, the app is one of the best teaching aids I’ve used (I really get results when using it). I love that you can sync the lesson to the actual track, so you can play along in real time and if you don’t already own the track you can link through to iTunes to download it. You can record yourself from within the app too - this works surprisingly well and is a very cool feature encouraging you to practice to ‘performance’ level . The choice of tracks available to buy is really good with many of my favourite tunes available and I love discovering new artists and styles by previewing the lessons. My song and style repertoire has improved because of this. I now have over 20 tracks in my Library (MONEY VERY WELL SPENT) If you are an intermediate player who wants to learn new songs and improve quickly, then this is the app for you. I find it good to watch someone play along with the tab so ideal for me. As with all things nothing is ever free so try the 2 free songs and if you don't like the format or can't afford the cost of additional songs don't buy.
