Maps are comple and this app has a good balance between features and ease of use. Synch between devices is quick, search works well and I like being able to see the title of my custom places shown on the map (not just a marker). The default open street map (offline) is much better than Google or Apple maps to see paths for walking etc, and for planning and marking places to visit etc. You can also import topo and satellite view maps (online only)
Excellent map visibility and zoom is instantaneous. Thr bookmark system is comprehensive and allows import or export very good to use

Just keeps getting better. I have used this app so many times when travelling in areas where I have no mobile data connection - offline maps can be a life-saver!
For a free app this is hard to beat. Luckily NZ I think is the only place where you can get free topo maps useable with the app. But it takes some getting used to to upload these maps.
This great little app has been a friend for a while, so I bought the pro version. When my iPad died and replaced it the app didn't restore. Sent a message to Galileo and they actually responded with helpful advice on how to restore the purchase! Great support, and you :o)
This is exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly when not connected to wifi or 3G, highly recommended for Trekkers..

We used this app to travel all over Europe. It took the place of many maps. Because we were on bicycles GPS was of no use as it always tried to put us on main roads. We simply loaded the next few days likely route while on line to a detailed scale then used it off line while travelling- fantastic as it provided a scale just impossible to find on maps. We would never travel with out this application.
