After a few days of using it, the app automatically changed my language and now asking me to pay for VIP if I want to do any changes to my language.
The free version used to be more focused on learning, now it just asks you to sign up every chance it can, quite horrible to use.
I’ve been using it for the last 2 months but then it keeps kicking me out of the app for no reason whatsoever.
I have never come across an app that so constantly has its robots spam the notification. You can expect at least three notifications per day if you do absolutely nothing. I’ve never come across an app that’s so in your face about purchases either. Just the worst don’t get it.

Quite a large amount of people, such as myself, have been reported on the app for talking about anything mildly sensitive eg when a livestreamer talks about how she might not travel to china due to the current lockdowns there, I mentioned how my grandmother said entire apartments get locked down if one person is infected. I loved the app; I made some awesome friends and it was fun to use However, it is extremely easy to get reported/banned because the admin does not consider context. It is also near impossible to explain anything to them. I deleted the app and can now never make a second account again. I’m banned from making another account. It’s a permanent loss. Edit August 8: After the developer response, I emailed their support staff email and was notified that I cannot make a new account because I’ve been reported too many times (twice). The problem remains.

Keeps spamming me to give my location even though the settings on Apple won’t allow me to change it. Constantly recommends partners that ain’t even learning the language I’m fluent in. Real fall from grace since the last time I used it.
Been using two days and they banned my account, I asked the team for help they just said the removed account can’t be restored, horrible services.
Okay so, I had 3 accounts previously logged into hellotalk, which I assume was before the update where you can only have one account, so then I removed and deleted 2 of my hellotalk accounts and then I deleted the app, but now I want to reinstall it, but the one left was an old account which’s email I cannot access nor remember, I also do not remember the password to the hellotalk account so I cannot even change the password. Every time I try to create a new account however, it says only 1 account allowed, so I am stuck with this one account I can’t even get into and cannot access the app. Please answer with a fix because this is really bugging me as I wanted to redoubled the app only to have this happen. I recommend making a “remove account” feature so I don’t and no one else has to go through this annoying stuff again.
