When I first updated to iOS 26 the Hilo app was behaving strangely. It would open an external document called InAppFormsTemplate.html. I wrote this review and the support team contacted me
a few days after saying that they were already working on a fix. The new update fixed all the issues that the previous software version had.

The app looks polished, but that’s where the positives end. I used it with the Hilo band I bought directly from the manufacturer, and the blood pressure readings were completely unreliable — consistently 20–30 mm Hg too high compared to multiple medical-grade and home cuff devices.

Even after starting prescribed BP medication (which all other devices clearly reflected), the Hilo band showed no change. Worse, the band stopped measuring at one point with no notice — only started working again after recalibration.

I followed every instruction, troubleshooting step, and guideline listed on their site. Still, support refused to acknowledge the problem, blamed me, and wouldn’t honor the warranty. This app is useless if the device feeding it data can’t be trusted. Not recommended.

The bracelet is constantly 20-30 pts high on systolic and 10 pts high on diastolic compared to the cuff. Even if I take the cuff. Reading multiple trimester in the same period of time as the cuff. I am not sure if the cuff is right or the bracelet. Cuff says my BP is great bracelet says stage 2 blood pressure. Tried to find a contact number or email on the app to ask questions but it never lets you navigate past the questions or FAQs it wants to answer. For the price it has only created more questions and likely raised my blood pressure 🤣

I purchased this BP monitor so I could have a real time picture of my condition. I find it works flawlessly. I am able to adjust my habits like coffee and exercise and diet to actually make a difference in my BP control. The thing I like a lot about this device is I forget it’s on my wrist. It’s so light and the band is very comfortable and the battery lasts a long time.
