I gave up in the end. Everything I tried to upload wouldn’t work. Kept having to reload it and try again multiple times. Kept coming up with the prompt “something went wrong at our end. Try again.” But it never sorted itself out.

* We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile.
* We want you to feel confident about meeting people in person. Selfie Verification makes it easier for daters on Hinge to ensure that they are who they say they are.
* We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future.
The app is free to use. Members looking to see everyone who likes them or send unlimited likes can upgrade to Hinge+. To access additional features, including enhanced recommendations and priority likes, we offer HingeX.

Was enjoying the app and likely the best one out there but was banned out of nowhere with no reason given even after an appeal. Very frustrating
Banning system
the app was cool when using but if someone reports your account hinge will not tell you ANY information on why you’re being banned or warn you that something has happened and it’s ridiculously hard to appeal a ban when you don’t know what you’re actually in trouble for. I hope going forward hinge actually makes an effort to advocate for both sides of a reporting as it’s easy to lie or skew a story a certain way or to at least allow the user being reported a fighting chance to defend themself by letting them know what they’re being accused of.
If I can give a lower star I would.
My account was banned for not real reason. Never was defamatory, hateful, abusive etc. Was straight forward, just a general dating app profile etc. Then one night they banned me. And I believe I know the person who reported it. And they were foreign to NZ, insecure and a little bit full of themselves. And yet I was still pleasant. Did a appeal message and they still continued with the ban. I doubt they even looked into it, All while I was a paying customer, and they still couldn’t even give me the reason as to why the banned me, has to be reported in the first place. Overall hinge was a sh’t app to begin with. Go else where.

I think this app is great because you can comment on their bios pictures all comments before matching giving the woman or the man a chance to make the first move. I’ve been on a couple of dates now from this app. This kicks Tinder and bumble in the groin.
