My boyfriend downloaded the app for the first time and booked his first ride with Hopp, he got 60% off his first 5 rides but I did not get 60% off my next 5 rides. Very frustrating as they explicitly stated that both parties will receive discounts, however only one did. Drivers also frequently cancel and their navigating system is off as I’ve been picked up and dropped off nowhere near my imputed addresses. When I contacted support, they were completely useless. Instead of fixing the issue, they told me to cancel the ride — which would charge ME a cancellation fee. So let me get this straight: your driver doesn’t move, doesn’t respond, wastes my time, and I’m the one who has to pay? That’s insane. There is clearly no proper monitoring of drivers and no real accountability. And support does not care about customers at all. This app wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress.
