Hue Camera creates an Ambilight-like effect using your Philips Hue lights and your device's built-in camera. The custom build algorithm of Hue Camera continuously analyses all individual pixels and takes hue, saturation, luminance, occurrence and many more factors into consideration to determine which specific colour is the most contributing to the overall ambiance. Your house will for example turn green when watching movies in the forest and turn blue for underwater scenes.
Because Hue Camera uses the built-in camera, it's not limited to a specific device and can be used for content on televisions, Apple TV, gaming consoles, BluRay/DVD players and even things off-screen like photos and paintings. Although Hue Camera was designed to work within a wide range of situations, you can change the speed of colour transitions and the intensity of the colour to your liking.

Watching finding nemo and the most bluest scene had the lights turn red. Bad syncing
Works well. I’m satisfied.
I’m happy with this purchase. I use it with iPad front camera on a Samsung 4K Smart TV and syncs well enough both for console gaming and movies not to be bothering your experience. Until we get a smart TV app, this app does it!
Don't buy it!
Ok the app don't work at it says. Don't wasting your money for this app!
Worst app ever !
I’ve wasted the last 24 hours trying to get it to work and hours on messaging back and forth with hue tech support and nothing’s been accomplished. I want my money back and forget about this unpleasant experience. Apple should take the app down from the App Store.
Paid for it, hasn’t been able to connect.
It can’t find my hue bridge to connect. I will update this review should the issue be solved. But as of yet I haven’t even been able to set the app up.
Stopped working after IOS update
I’ve tried reinstalling both apps and still no dice. Can’t recommend something that isn’t working.
