I love IGN for the film reviews. They are better than any critic’s endorsement in the sense that, if IGN gives a film a good review it is a huge red flag. Nothing is more reliable.
The app is mediocre just like their gaming coverage, but at least their cinematic taste is reliably atrocious. 👏🏽

Nothing comes up in the search bar what you ask for like Elden Ring review and instead brings up everything about Elden Ring with the review lost in it. Been cycling me through logging in just to comment but asks me to log in again. Absolutely useless app

This app has so much potential to be great, but with every update comes new frustrating bugs - feed refreshing constantly when scrolling through, no sound in videos, freezing and/crashing, etc. I do hope this becomes more stable, however it has been my experience using it this way for a very long time. I remain optimistic though (fingers crossed).

Have been an avid reader of IGN since 2006. This app used to be a dream to use but now 90% of the articles under “latest” are just garbage clicks for their shop and “deals”. Checked it against their website and get totally different feed under latest. Not using it anymore.

There is no audio while playing videos after the new update. Super frustrating. IGN just cant get their app to work properly. Its just baffling that a media giant like IGN "still" cant get their app to run without major bugs.

Annoying as hell. Scroll down looking for something interesting. No, back to the start you go. The further you scroll down. The more it scrolls you back. Get your poorly reported news elsewhere

When scrolling it keeps refreshing & going back to the top of the feed, does it so often I can’t get very far on the news feed, makes the app useless.

An update a few months ago has made the app keep glitching out, as I scroll through the news feed it keeps scrolling all the way back to the top after a minute

This “was” my got to app, but recent updates have been horrible. To the point that app is unusable on iPhone and iPad, both. 

To start with, every time you launch the app, highly irritating prompt to login pops up. And it’s a different story that if you login, the app will log you out automatically every few days.

But I could have still lived with it. However now that you click on “stay logged out” the application freezes. 

There are weird performance issues too causing app to slow down. Playing videos takes multiple clicks sometimes and responsiveness is affected too. 

Whatever testing/QA IGN has setup, it has been surely playing video games instead of ensuring quality launch.

Shame there are hardly any replacements but then a lesser app will be better alternative to useless one.

Pretty much the only reason I got this is to see less ads. The browser version is nearly impossible to use with ads everywhere. 

Great app. I have a suggestion, could we add a shortcut to get to the top of the page when we press the news button in the menubar. Scrolling all the way to the top is cumbersome.

Tapping on any of the tabs dose nothing, if you scroll down a bit then tap on a tab nothing happens. No refresh, no going back to the top no going to the section you want..

Using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, the app makes my phone run extremely hot. Usually I have to close the app and put my phone down to let it cool off. 
This is the only app that does this, except for some games, and I have tried it with other devices like my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my partner’s iPhone; all do the same thing. 
I suspect it’s because the app is loading a lot of content in the background and therefore using the antenna a lot, but really it should not make your phone run as hot as it does!

It really is staggering how bad this app has become. 

I would use it many times a day until this update. It is so broken that I no longer use it at all 

You can’t search for anything
You can’t log in with your username
You can’t save articles for later
You can’t find any content you need
