Instapaper

it’s the main reason i love and got instapaper but i’ve complained 2 times over the past 3 months and it’s still broken and i still have not gotten a word wen it will be fixed and i can’t get a refund i might have to cancel my subscription if i don’t get any updates and try to find another text to speech app

I was a long time Pocket user, but they lost their way and made their user interface almost unusable. So I switched to Instapaper and it is wonderful. It’s clean, simple, and so easy to use.

Lovely minimal and elegant design. A decent set of features that covers all the essentials. Send-to-Kindle integration. Solid reliability and stability. In essence everything to support doing lots of reading and nothing to distract. I would like to see some more advanced features like tags, but they aren’t super necessary. The devs seem to be constantly working so manage they’ll get added in future. In the meantime the app is more than good enough.

Back in 2010, I started my journey with Instapaper and I loved being able to find time to read articles in my busy day. The app had a simple interface and I loved picking up with an article where I left off. I can't remember why I stopped using the app. What brought me back to it was Tiago Forte's mention of it in his book, "Building a Second Brain." The app continues to keep its simple interface and has excellent new features, such as syncing highlights and notes to Evernote and allowing you to email in things you want to read later. Simple, easy to use, with rich features.

Very useful and time-saving. Great work. Don’t change it!

1. Please add an article tally at the top of the folder it’s container in. 2. Please put a friction modal in to question users who are adding the same link/article they already have within that folder or elsewhere in their ecosystem. Like how Spotify asks users if they intend to add the same song twice to a playlist. Then this app would be near perfect if it has these two and small quick feature wins.

Since installing Instapaper on my iPhone 12, I have never managed to use it. Everytime I click on it, it crashes. I don’t know what is going wrong…

Since the most recent update Instapaper has worked practically perfectly. (The only bug is that the app crashes when you delete the last article in a folder whilst reading it).
