Juice Watch

This app is extremely handy. You need to accept that it works within the constraints placed upon it by Apple, so it isn't as accurate as the apple proprietary monitoring of battery charge, but it's very good nonetheless. I can monitor both my iphone and Apple watch battery charge levels and be alerted when they reach a designated level. The notification function is superb, the 'bzzzzt' audio alert never fails to make me jump (or grin) - meaning I never miss it. On the watch I have it vibrate which works well. I appreciate that there are no ads and to acknowledge this and a splendid app I sent a few pounds to the developer. Hopefully this will help maintain support - i wouldn't like to lose this one.

I installed this app only to discover that my watch is too old for this app to work. However the service I received from the developer was the best I have ever experienced. John the developer is an absolute gentleman and really cares about his customers and their experience. I can’t recommend this app enough, just make sure you have the required updated software on your watch. I’m keeping this app although I can’t use it with this watch, because I intend to upgrade to a new watch. I can’t wait to use this with my new watch. It just works. The developer has built a beautiful host of complications to suit different watch faces. I can see my phone battery at a glance. I can directly give the developer feedback through app as they have given users a channel of communication. Fantastic stuff.

The app has a simple function but does it really well, with lots of different options. Much more useful than the very basic inbuilt IOS functionality. I contacted the developer to raise a couple of suggestions (enabling for shortcuts and modified complication icon) and received a very prompt and thoughtful response. As already noted in other comments this is really an app that is cared about, which is much appreciated.

I’ve never reviewed an app before but having just used this app again, for the umpteenth time today, just as I’ve been using it daily since I downloaded it a couple of months ago, I thought I really owe it to the developer. Personally I think it is the most essential utility app there is for iPhone + watch & I cannot understand why Apple haven’t incorporated the features. Being able to glance at the app complication on my Home Screen of my watch & see a fully accurate charge level of my phone, & vice versus for the watch, plus get charge notifications to a level of my choosing for each is just so USEFUL. Design is simple and clean, accuracy is terrific, and it really does add value to me unlike half the apps on my watch/phone. So many thanks to the developer and I highly recommend this app.

After updating to watchOS 6.2.6 Tuesday night the utilitarian small flat complication stopped working, yesterday a new app update was released for juice watch and its fixed the issue, the developer is quick to release updates and always open to suggestions, brilliant app and the best in town

UPDATE; 18th May 2020: I contacted the developer about implementing battery discharge notifications on 29th April 2020, which was responded to within minutes. I was told this was planned for a later date, but because it was something that was largely requested it may well be implemented sooner. Low battery notifications have now been made available, a mere nineteen days after I contacted the developer. It has become abundantly clear that this developer cares about the app and the end users of the app. The App Store needs more developers like this! Tip earned! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve tried many, many different apps that show iPhone battery levels on Apple Watch as well as apps that show Apple Watch battery levels on iPhone, rarely both. All have been unreliable or have been left to rot on the App Store by the developer, sometimes for years, meaning their features are stale or no longer function properly. Juice Watch has no competition. The Watch app updates frequently, the complications work exactly as intended, the customisation is neither lacking nor over complicated, and the amount of attention the developer shows for the app is reassuring. Apple seriously needs to contemplate approaching the developer to implement this at the OS level. Second to none, and it costs nothing! The developer allows users to send tips, which I most likely will if the updates keep coming! Highly recommended.

This app used to work fine but, since the last update, the battery level shown on the complication is either slow to update, or doesn’t update until you ‘tap’ it and view the watch and phone battery levels. Even then the level on the complication doesn’t always update. A bit frustrating, as it gives you a false impression of how much charge is left in your device.

I really love this app. It has many useful Apple Watch face complications. Suggested improvements: - faster refresh times for the watch complications ( I understand this is actually a very difficult improvement to make) - add another charge level for Bluetooth devices that are connected to your phone (such as air pods) so that when you open the App on the watch you can also see the battery level of your headphones.

When I found this app, I liked the idea of getting notifications that my watch is charged a certain percentage because I don’t like charging my watch to 100%. But when I got into the app it claims it has a Apple Watch compilation, but when I’m in the Apple Watch app I am not seeing a juice watch compilation option.
