Great app. Thanks developer. Integrated well with iwatch , iPhone . iPad. Best for recording Audio. Transcribe feature not as useful. Need other way to transcribe the audio clips. Great app for recording audio on the run. With a small one off fee it’s fair. Recommend it.

Foreword: Using Apple’s built-in dictation software, this app combines voice transcription with audio recording. It is best used as a voice recorder that records in the background. Otherwise, you can speak directly into your notes app or Microsoft Word with the same built-in dictation function. Review: Following Google and Samsung adding AI voice transcription to their voice memos apps, I became enthusiastic to find an equivalent for my Apple devices. I tried other apps that worked on a subscription model, using the free plan. While they were good, they had time limits. Then I found Just Press Record. I took a chance and bought it. So far, I am happy with it. It has an app for all of my Apple devices including Apple Watch (which is something other apps have lacked.) It is simple and effective and intuitive. Where this app falls short from its more expensive competitors is its lack of intelligent auto-punctuation. Transcript emerges as a big paragraph of text. However, what I do appreciate is that words are highlighted during playback. It would also be nice to have the ability to go back and continue recording on old recordings to keep particular projects and ideas streamlined all in all, it is a good app if it gets the job done and it doesn't demand an arm and a leg to do so which in 2024 is hard to come by. I mainly prefer to use an app like this to record lyrics and story ideas and then copy them into my notes app. If you plan on attending lectures or recording conversation with multiple people, you should try something else. As I’m writing this review, it occurs to me different AI voice transcribers serve different use cases.

If you after a voice recorder that JUST WORKS this is the app for you. I’ve been using it now for two years and find the Apple Watch component to be so easy to use

This is simply the best application for recording, transcribing, and synchronising voice recordings. Connect it to Rogue Amoeba's Loopback virtual audio device and you can transcribe anything that comes out of your browser!

I love this app for VoiceOver. Can you please in future updates make VoiceOver be able to be heard while recording because I miss messages and it’s got really really awesome quality. I love it very much.

For anyone pondering the merits of the app prior to downloading - STOP!! It is one of the most simplistic, yet feature-laden apps I have come across! So hesitate no more, and when you are as pleased with the app as I am, make a purchase and support the developer!!

I love this app - the operation is fantastic but extracting transcripts is slow and the copy transcript feature buried within sub-menu options. Please develop an ‘auto-forward’ setting that will push a copy of each transcript to the Reminders and/or Email apps. Alternatively having a ‘copy transcript’ button on the widget that allows you to view your list of transcripts would do almost as well. Thanks much for developing this great app - it’s well worth the investment!
