Has potential but ...
I am looking for educational apps to help support my kids home learning during lockdown. I always trial an app before I give it to them. This app has potential but needs work. The main issue I found is you have to press and drag the letters to spell the word but the entire screen moves also. This makes it difficult to move the letter which I think is a problem (and irritating) for any age let alone a 5yr old. It annoys my 7yr old. Sometimes it takes a few tries to move it. Also, this app has a silly amount of ads. Almost every time you spell a word an ad pops up or is displayed at the bottom of the page. Some are product purchasing and none are related to the app. The ads are not age appropriate which means you will want to supervise. Some ads pop up (in-between spellings) and cover the entire screen so you have to click the X to close it and move on. I understand free apps need ads but not so frequent that it provides distractions for a 5yr old. If you want the ads to pop up then do it in-between levels not in-between words. I am happy to pay for apps but I wouldn't pay for this one; I don’t think its an option right now anyway. Perhaps fix the drag and drop glitch. Then evaluate how you do ads, and whether you’ll switch to this being an app people buy to avoid ads. I suggest you offer a try before you buy. People don’t want to spend money on something only to find glitches and problems.
