I buy a thermometer and want to put it in a mouth and read a temperature. I DO NOT want to have to download an app, create an account, give it permission to locate me, get alerts, give it my name, age, gender... STICK IT IN YOUR MOUTH AND READ A TEMPERATURE! A year from now when you go out of business and someone buys one at a discount, they won't be able to do ANYTHING with it when the app leaves the store. Who thought this through? If I could TAKE stars away, I would.

Please have the option to plug the Kinsa in I have that model and like the way it works. I don’t care for the wireless model and would love to be able to use mine. If it broke don’t fix it.

This really is a good thermometer and appears to be accurate, though I haven’t experimented. The only thing is that they should add a function that allows you to add a very specific symptom by you typing it in and adding it to the thermometer reading in the history tab. They don’t have enough symptoms to cover the spectrum of symptoms that could exist.

Hardware error- contact support. That’s what I really need when my wife is sick and I need her temp. Thermometer will not work until you get the app and it wants to become your doctor. Way too complicated.

Lost network connectivity this morning, and when I tried to load this app, it just sat on the loading screen doing nothing. This is a BAD DESIGN. Checking and storing temperature data is a local action, not a network one. Data sync for whatever purpose must be secondary to the primary function — AND NON-BLOCKING OF SAME. I should be able to use this even if I manually turn off wifi. My device(s), my choice. Either fix this with the next app update, or I stop using your app — AND your product — and you permanently lose customers. Clock is ticking…

I have one of the original wired Kinsa thermometers and I’m disappointed that the app no longer seems to recognize the thermometer when it’s plugged in. Doesn’t seem fair for your earliest customers.

App is great! It lets me create a profile for each person and I can create a timeline of care,including temperature, meds given, symptoms, etc. it also has reminder alarms and guidance for treatment. Recommend!

### ****- "Great app! A few suggestions though."
I very abruptly found myself as a mom of a medical mystery. My 5 year old has a mystery illness that required a five day hospital stay, 31 tests, and a follow up with infectious disease. They still don’t know what’s wrong, more than two weeks later. 
All that to say, the kinsa app has been an INCREDIBLE resource. I can track temps, meds, symptoms, ect. It has taken a bit off of my mental load. Also, because he’s so sick of being messed with, he has started resisting even temp checks but the little animation while the temp is loading makes him giggle. I immediately told my friends and family about it and at least three people have already bought it two days later. 

The only suggestion I have is that I’d love to write in symptoms. My son has a complex issue going on and I’d like to write the weird ones in over using a note. I’d also like the option of clearing out the tips/follow up questions/ ect. Because of his symptoms the app is constantly telling me to call my dr and that what he’s going through is abnormal. I know this, and am in constant contact with them. 

I very rarely leave reviews but I LOVE this product. I’d love to see you all come out with other medical devices for kids like BP cuffs, pulse ox, ect. Thank you!

Bought the only thermometer in stock at CVS late one night and I had to download an app, create an account, and enable my location, etc. Just to take the temperature of my sick kid. Like the app connection is great in theory but absolutely ridiculous that the thermometer is not functional without it. Returning ASAP

As a thermometer, it works fine. Tracking my temp in the app? Check. But viewing health issues in my area? A big fail. The screen called “Location Search,” gets no where and shows the error message, “Kinsa Service Unreachable.”

Accurate and more…. This thermometer got Me through COVID w/o contracting it from 3/20-6/25/2024. Wasn’t checking Daily at 2024 point.  Accurate feedbacks weekly in my email of flu & COVID in my area. Wish you still had that data available to those of us still interested & elderly. 

Great for gifts too! From an 85 year not so young any more after Covid,Took temp every day thru covid. Vaccinated. Didn’t get it until kaiser put me in the filthiest nursing home in Stockton, for a month. Got covid there with 8 others. A month later, still recovering, weak, with greatly reduced appetite. Sr. 85 y

I am using the thermometer solely to track my daughters fever throughout her chemotherapy for the next three years. It would be very helpful if the app had a area for cancer patients, where I can log on her medicines, track any fevers and symptoms. as of right now, this app is solely for the common cold. It should extend to more, since it is a thermometer and can be used for other purposes besides the common cold - like tracking a cancer patient fevers and symptoms. Thank you.

So I downloaded the app and at first I didn’t know what to do but then I got a hang of it so one day I was feeling really sick so I went into the app and I went to symptoms and I put my symptoms or whatever and then I told me like I probably need like home care go to a doctor or go to the ER so I was like oh OK so I did because then I started feeling even worse so then I got there to the ER and they said that yes I had a little bug or something like that so I was like this app is a real lifesaver. I don’t even know how to explain it for real but this app I definitely recommend downloading it. I definitely recommend, I haven’t worked out thermometer yet, but I might use that I don’t know but yeah definitely recommended.

The thermometer doesn’t work without getting the app, creating an account, and giving your personal information. I had to do so between bouts of vomiting at 3 AM, which was the last thing I wanted to be dealing with.

The second issue is the quality of thermometer. The screen flickers and most of the times just goes blank

### *---- "They got rid of the old app for one that doesn’t even work"
I just noticed they got rid of my old reliable app for this new one at first I was excited oh maybe the format is better . NOPE it won’t pair with either of my thermometers and I got two! I finally got it to pair with one for it to not sync the temperature at all which is whole point of the app!!!! I tried to click the customer service button and the app crashes like WHAAAT then I try again and the app just dumps again !!!! They need to fix it I liked the old app better .
