## Knotwords Description
Knotwords is a minimal and elegant logic puzzle — with words.

The rules are simple: arrange the letters in each section so every word is valid, across and down.

Each puzzle may seem difficult at first — but like all my favorite newspaper puzzles, it gets easier as you progress. Each step guides you naturally towards the solution.

This is the kind of game I've been trying to make my whole career — I'm amazed Jack and I discovered this design. We hope you like it.

This game should not be advertised as free. Gave it 3 stars because when you first start, you get to play the first 10 games and then you have to buy the annual or perpetual plan.  

It doesn’t have any ads, which is great. But the limitation of not even being able to play beyond the 2 daily puzzles is annoying. Especially in my case where I love games like this. 

I think the devs should consider a free version with ads and have the paid version for those who can’t stand ads.

This is an excellent game and a great way to stimulate your brain every day. 

Only minor complaints are that I would love the options to:

1. Speed up the post puzzle stats (or outright skip them)

2. A dark mode.

I play all three daily puzzles every morning and have for over 1100 days at this point. I really love this game. 

My only wish would be a way to speed up the summary after you complete the puzzles. It’s nice when you are first playing, but after several years it is very slow.

This game has not had an update in a year, and I assume an update will not come now that they have another version in AppleArcade.  Sigh.  It is a great idea for a game - and I want to pay for the whole thing, but two things keep me from doing that - one, it hasn’t been updated so odds are good it will stop working soon - and two - they use SO MANY words that are not words it is incredible!  What is the point???  It is not fun because of this.  Such a great game if they would just use actual words - even rare ones is fine, but NOT words is NOT fun.

So, I love the game, but they’re clearly scraping wiktionary in a rather sloppy way, and it’s causing problems. I noticed a puzzle accepted “eche” as a word, and the definition button in the app stated its meaning as “eternal,” which wasn’t what Marriam-Webster said. Looked it up in Wiktionary, and…the word is Middle English. Seriously.

I do not know what happened. I had a streak of 945 days, went in today to play and it is all gone and says I have not played it in 3 days. I was very diligent about playing it caused I wanted to get to 1000. I have no idea what could have happened. So sad I will probably delete it.

I seemed to have an impossible daily puzzle yesterday, because I made a word out of every other single horizontal and vertical line, but there was one word that kept saying it was wrong, and I could not figure out what it was, even with using a hint. Where can I see the answers for yesterday‘s puzzles?

Probably the most fun and challenging word-related game out there but $12 for a mobile game is nuts. Free options are very limited (and not very clear when you just start playing). The sudoku aspect of it makes it quite interesting to play. Some glitches where words are surely indirectly but you can adjust settings to get around it if you want. Hope devs reduce the price in the future.

This seems like a good game but please provide a way to turn off all animations and movement (including the rabbit, cute as it is). They are unnecessary to gameplay and induce nausea in some users. See W3 accessibility standards on reducing animation.

I have been using Knotwords for years and enjoying playing. However, today’s Daily Puzzle (November 8, 2024) included a racial slur. As I was stuck, I asked for a hint (N.B.: I refuse to type in the offensive word in my review) and I received the following: Plural form of ______ - a person of Italian descent. This definition came from wiktionary. The definition of coin or type of bird could have been used. Please make sure that racial/national slurs and disparaging definitions are NOT used. We have enough division in the world already. My rating would have been 5 stars, but I’m putting in 2 for now.

This is a great puzzle idea and quite fun but it seems crazy to me that this app takes up more than half a gigabyte of phone storage

Love this game. Simple enough to play a quick round, but also has larger puzzles when you want more of a challenge. One point of feedback - the algorithm for which square the cursor moves to after you type a letter is just about completely backwards from what it seems it should be (at least for me). Perfect example: after typing a letter there is only one square left empty - seems the logical choice. But it often picks an already filled square. This has cost me precious seconds off my best times!  Minor quibble but if that was fixed the game would be perfect.
