Brilliant for iPad and iPhone! Got it on both! -- NoahHarrison13, 2024-11-13 ### ***-- "Very complicated ui and some freeze issues" The interface is pretty complicated. A lot of icon buttons and no text, so takes a long time to learn the function of each. They’re also scattered in two rows on the top, and then a second row at the bottom, making it even harder. Buttons like settings (cog) are in unexpected locations too. All these quirks are surmountable, but quickly ran into an issue when using. The first thing i tried to do was duplicate a file. There appears to be no ability to do this. I tried copy and pasting to a new location, but couldn’t work out how to rename the file. The pop up dialogues are very slow, sometimes taking 30 seconds to appear and as long to close- or crash the app. The app is promising, offering a lot of functionality but hampered by the tricksy interface and inability to rename files. Unless I’ve made a manual copy on my iPad, there doesn’t seem to be any way of recovering the file contents. It seems to happen when you switch between files in Koder. I only use Koder for creating HTML and associated files. It has many good features. Where I feel it falls down is: - I can’t zoom in on my iPad. Selecting text can be difficult. - Koder automatically saves the new version of the file you’ve edited, but doesn’t save different versions. It’s incredibly easy with an iPad to accidentally delete a whole section of code. I’ve used it regularly, but after a css file literally vanished after previewing the html doc, I became weary. I did some much needed admin on the local drive and file/categorise, to find that a. most of my css files were empty, missing or corrupted with another file’s contents. HTML files as css files, and vice versa. A lot of work has disappeared or must be recovered and reworked to get back. A tonne of hours lost, or a shed load. I had emailed the support email on the site about 2 weeks ago and i’ve received nothing back. It’s got considerably worse now. I’ve reinstalled, but I’m making a Shortcut to back up every file once a night now, which is not ideal for file space. I shouldn’t have to over fear of losing work I need for training. Firstly, it would be nice if you could move tabs to any order you wish.
