## Kørekort Description
To register your driving licence in the app, you must have:

• a valid Danish driving licence
• a valid passport or ID card
• a MitID with CPR number
• an iPhone 7 or newer

With the driving licence app, you always carry your driving licence with you. The app is a voluntary supplement to your plastic driving licence and functions as a valid driving licence in Denmark. 

This means that you can leave your plastic driving licence at home, as long as you can show your driving licence app instead. However, do not throw away your plastic driving licence. You will still need it when travelling and driving abroad .

With the app, you can:
•	Prove that you have a driving licence when driving in Denmark
•	Show your driving licence on your mobile phone in places where you would normally use your driving licence, for instance as ID.
 
The driving licence app has been developed by the Danish Agency for Digital Government in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the Danish National Police, the Ministry of Transport and the Danish Road Traffic Authority. Read more about the app at:

I just lost my license cause I have to carry it around like it's 2005 so now I will be driving illegally until I get an appointment. A country with a high percentage of foreign born residents can't fathom that they should support other passports in such a vital app like this?

Pas chip kan ikke scannes på iPhone 16 pro max, der er testet med samme pas på flere enheder, og der virker det fint.

Jeg har efter anbefaling hentet ReadID Me appen og den læste passet første gang, så jeg vendte tilbage til Kørekort appen, og det kan nu læses uden problemer.

The app only works if you have a Danish passport. Even if you have a Danish driver’s license and are a permanent resident. This restriction is frustrating and excludes many qualified users. Expanding access beyond passport holders would make the app much more inclusive.

Jeg har ikke lige 893 kr. til et pas, som jeg ikke skal bruge til noget.

Det lyder ellers nemt: mit billede og alting ligger jo allerede i appen. Det skal faktisk bare lige over på en ny enhed.

Man fristes til at spørge om det også er forbudt at få repareret sin gamle telefon.
