## Language Transfer Description
Language Transfer provides free audio courses that teach you to take control of your thought process. There's no sign-up required — just pick a language and start learning!

This app provides the same audio available for free on languagetransfer.org, but allows you to download tracks in advance, save your progress, and listen with your phone locked.

We collect some anonymous usage data so we can improve the app and learn about how users are engaging with the lessons. You can learn more in the About section of the app, or turn off this data collection in the Settings pane.

I felt compelled to write this review even though I’m only on lesson 10 (Spanish) because this is the first app that I’ve found that actually shows you HOW to learn.  Not just the rules and vocabulary.  I have been doing Duolingo for three years and was frustrated that I still can’t speak Spanish. And in just 10 lessons on Language Transfer, I’m feeling more confident. My struggle has always been not having a great learning strategy. This has changed all of that. I’m incredibly impressed!

### ***** "Teaches you grammar without being too obsessed with the grammatical terms"
One thing I don’t like is when people on the internet obsess over the grammatical terms and make them seem scary and impossible. Like when people say “the preterite is difficult!” People who speak a language usually don’t know all of these grammatical terms. So I like that Language Transfer doesn’t freak you out by being obsessive about the names.

I don’t review many apps, but this one offers so much for so little.

Going through the 44 Italian lessons for the second time and loving it. It makes learning so much easier!

Also listened to the music theory lessons once, for fun, and got a lot out of it!

This and many other languages FOR FREE! Just do it!

First ten or so lessons were cool but after a while, I got annoyed with the Teacher expecting me to “figure it out”. I dont like the approach where you will learn to swim if i just push you in the water. TEACH ME FIRST!!! And then test my knowledge.

If you are starting a language then this app is for you, it makes you understand so well and the fact it’s entirely free is just so amazing!

My only real criticism(s) are that the lessons are a little boring for people who have ADHD and other mental challenges and also the lack of Languages. 

This normally would‘ve made it 4 stars but I understand if these aren’t fixed as this app is entirely free and runs on donations. This app is probably the best free language learning app so far so I won’t expect it to have everything.

When I‘m done with this app I may try Pimselur or something but I don’t know yet since I‘m only on lesson 14 of the German Course.

LT content is great but the app is buggy & kinda outdated. You can’t fast forward or rewind the timeline manually (have to use the 15 second button only). Chapters don’t have names. You can’t save/star chapters or make notes. Simple improvements would be helpful but they haven’t updated it in 2 years

### ****- "Different from everything I’ve seen, in a good way"
I’m learning Spanish with this app, and it’s really helping firing up some neurons in my brain. The teacher’s linguistic knowledge is vast, and he explains things very well. What I like the most is how he goes deeper into how words are connected, why it is so, why sentence structures are like that, etc.

One thing I don’t like is that it goes too deep too quickly (that sounds bad I know). Not everyone is as smart and quick to pick things up as the person you’re conversing with. Good for her. I’m a bit slow, but I get it. Keep up the good work. Try to slow down a bit.

The guy Mihalis is very cool and I’ve emailed him and he responded nicely, seems very down to earth and genuine, and I really like the app. Super simple, free offline downloads of any and all lessons, and very helpful methods for learning the language as opposed to typical memorization tactics! (I’m learning spanish and wanting to try arabic too).
I really like the format of being able to pause and follow along and guess with a real live recorded student.

I love the app, but it is missing one important feature for me as someone who primarily uses it while driving. While the Apple podcast app allows me to scroll back 10 seconds by pressing my car’s back button, this app does not allow that. So it’s hard for me to practice with this one.

In 30 minutes (4 lessons) with LT, I have learned FAR more Greek than in the past 8 months (hundreds of lessons) with every other language app combined (not to mention numerous other modes of study, including travel in Greece)—no kidding, and no exaggeration. And it’s 100% free. Instead of endless memorization exercises that leverage the dopamine reward system, LT breaks down the language into usable parts and reveals to the learner the necessary cognitive tools that we all already have for using those parts effectively and in endless ways—the feeling of liberation is incredible—for the first time in Greek, my brain and my tongue are actually working together. It is unreal. And it’s all so simple—it’s barely even an app in the usual sense… anyone who is really ready to stop dithering and just learn a language should try this immediately. And someone notify the Nobel Peace Prize folks, because the creator of LT deserves one. This is transformational. I’m excited to learn all the other languages, too—Arabic, Swahili, Turkish, awesome—all of them.
