I still can’t believe it actually works! Amazing 😍
I am deaf, my partner is not. I wanted Light Awake to use with the “Light Awake” smart bulb rather than using the strobe from my phone (which can get buried under my covers while sleeping). The flashing light would be so much better than the bed shaker that he hates. The designated Light Awake smart bulb (complete with logo on the base) is found online for sale for $60. Some online stores say the bulb is on back order with estimated arrival date of September. I decided to explore the app functions before making my smart bulb purchase. However, after downloading the Light Awake app, the option to connect the light bulb has been disconnected. Light Awake gives a message that the bulb connect option is not in service with no date of resolution. It amazes me that the branded Light Awake smart bulbs are still being sold anywhere now, knowing the bulb connectivity does not work. The branding “Light Awake” on the bulb to match the app, leads consumers to believe the only bulb to work with the Light Awake app is the Light Awake branded smart bulb. Also, the online sale price is a major price gouge considering how cheap other smart bulbs can be obtained for online. Selling the Light Awake bulb and not updating the app interface is dishonest. Quite frankly this baits consumers to use a device they cannot use for the intent of purchase. I sure do hope that someone is monitoring the email address provided on the app for those customers that need to resolve their purchase. Light Awake is a great idea. The execution is an absolute failure.
This app is trash. You must leave your phone on with this app as the sleep screen in order for it to work. ZERO STARS
I’m a little bit scared to leave the iphone on all night as it could potentially overheat, or cause issues to my phone in the long run. Just gonna stick to the iphone default alarms this time
Neat idea, I have an iPhone and was impressed that it flashed the flash light as well. Tested the alarm and turned my screen off. Didn't work. Not until I unlocked my phone and then the alarm went off minutes later. Is it a requirement to leave your phone screen on ALL night just for the alarm??
This app does nothing on an iPhone The menus and instructions are impossible to ead
The main job is for the alarm to go off. Hey m not missing something, am I? As it turns out…. it didn’t. Go off that is. And the reason (below) indicates that it’s a design issue. When I woke up (1h 45m after I was supposed to), I saw an alert on my phone: ‘your carrier service has an update. Want to do it, yes or no?’ I dismissed the notification and then my alarm blared to life. An hour and 45 minutes late. Nice. The app itself is really easy to use and set/activate. And per the app’s instructions, after setting the wake up time, I didn’t touch my phone. The fact that a random notification like that caused the alarm to delay sound more like it’s still in beta, not ready for public consumption. And maybe so, that’s fine. Perhaps when the basic bugs get worked out, it’ll be good. It was a good idea…
This has definitely replaced my default alarm app. It is very reliable and easy to manage.
I like the choices of light and sound to wake up as well as the gentle but increasing intensity. Lots to choose from. A regular alarm gets familiar and I ignore but I can change it up regularly.
