Focus session
The simplest way to block apps. Focus session steps:
1. Click on the "start" button
2. Select the duration of the focus session
3. Select the apps that you wished to be blocked during the session
4. Click on "start session"
5. All the selected apps will be blocked until the completion of the focus session duration
Focus session is useful when you wish to focus on some task, like studies, work etc. for a certain period of time.
Scheduled blocking:
If you want to block distractions during your work or school hours, you create scheduled blocking. Steps to setup scheduled blocking:
1. give your schedule a name
2. Set the starting and ending time of your scheduled blocking
3. Set which days of the week you wish to enable the scheduled blocking
4. Select the apps you wish to be blocked
5. Your scheduled blocking is now setup. The selected apps will get blocked during the selected days and time ranges
Detox
Detox will be helpful if you spend too much time on a particular app and you wish to limit to a certain duration per day. Here are the steps to use the detox feature:
1. Give you detox session a name
2. Select the app limit (time limit) - this is the amount of time you can use the selected apps until they are blocked
3. Select the days of the week when you wish this detox session to be active
4. Select the apps you wish to be blocked during your detox session. You can select 1 or multiple apps. E.g. you can block all social media apps after you use them for more than a certain duration.
5. Click on "start app detox" to complete the detox session setup
