I like the idea

But sometimes it gives contextually wrong translation. And for a free user you can translate only 20 words. I mean not even daily just 20 words after that you should buy subscription

Japanese tools aren't great

It splits words wherever it wants, leaving verbs and adjectives without their conjugation. It also splits phrases wrong. It mixes particles or splits multiple kana particles into multiple words (とか to と and か). The TTS tools are way off. I couldn't find a way to remove romaji from the dictionary.

Overall an amazing app. Best for getting from low intermediate level to an advanced level

Great app that is fantastic for getting from low intermediate level to an advanced level in a fast and fun way. The Good - The design is great. - The highlights (or LingQs as they call them) are so useful while reading. - Importing whatever content you want to read works well and personalises your learning experience. - Can practice listening too. - Vocabulary practice mode is very useful and well designed. Could Be Better - Importing content might be a little tricky and time consuming for some. - Occasional bugs when listening to the pronunciation of certain words in the vocabulary practice mode. - Notifications are dull and easy to ignore in comparison to Duolingo. (Obviously LingQ is a far superior app, but personally, I feel better notifications would have helped me remember to use it more consistently.) - Streak building a little buggy, especially when I was travelling around and changing time zones. Should be a little more forgiving so that you don’t lose your streak and feeling of progression. Cost - Price is high but in my opinion it’s worth it, as the amount you can learn with a year of consistent practice is truly game changing. For casual language learning there may be cheaper options, but if you’re serious, this app is a great investment.

Perfeccionando Inglés a los 70

Tengo 70 años y pase mi vida hablando un inglés muy rústico. Ahora que tengo tiempo lo estoy mejorando muy rápidamente con este sistema. Me parece excelente

Muy buena app faltaría que los libros que son audio y libro, el texto siga a la voz automáticamente. Es decir que se cambie de página solo cuando corresponda.

I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

I love this app, and the subscription is worth it. It has replaced a lot of the time I was mindlessly scrolling with learning and engaging. I feel accomplished each day because I’m working towards my goals, and the setup makes a lot of sense for how to actually learn a language. This is much better than Duolingo.
