The app itself worked really well for Windows desktop pretty seamless after setup. However, I noticed that my other Bluetooth connections became quite spotty in this period. I would always have to turn Bluetooth on and off to get headphones or the car to connect. After trying loads of different potential remedies, I saw a Reddit thread pointing to this app as the culprit. Deleting the app and forgetting the relationship on both devices immediately restored perfect connectivity. Hopefully an easy fix but I would suggest avoiding this app until resolved.

It doesnt work!!

Spent an hour trying to work out how to link to my laptop. Absolutely $hite. I expected better. I tried both ways, the second I put the QR code on the screen, my phone immediately said it was invalid without even waiting a single second to try and recognise it. Tried it manually too, again, didnt work. Don’t even bother

Have Bluetooth connection already between PC and iPhone. Cannot connect via ‘phone link’ App; neither manually nor with QR. Just awful

I installed this on two laptops work and personal it works on one won’t work on the other, I reinstall and try changing order of install it then works on the other but won’t on the initial one. What a frustrating bug ridden hunk of garbage. iOS user.

On my laptop it was easy to set up. Worked perfectly. On my desktop it was just so finicky. Syncing messages took so long to set up. Sometimes when I switch it on it doesn’t sync or I’ve to wait 30mins for it sync all messages. Once it is up and running it’s perfect and a great addition to windows.

So, I gave the Microsoft Phone Link app a shot, thinking it would make my life easier by syncing my phone to my PC. Honestly, it’s been nothing but headaches. For starters, it constantly disconnects. One minute it’s working fine, and the next, poof—gone. You end up spending more time trying to reconnect than actually using it. If you’re an iPhone user like me, forget about having a smooth experience. You can’t send group texts or pictures through iMessage, and don’t even think about mirroring apps. It’s like they barely tried for iOS users. Notifications? Hit or miss. Sometimes they show up; other times, you’ll miss an important alert because the app didn’t bother syncing. Setting it up is a pain, too. Pairing the phone and PC should be simple, but instead, it’s glitchy and frustrating. Even when you get past that, the app feels slow—loading messages and photos takes forever. Honestly, it feels half-baked. Unless Microsoft steps up and fixes these issues, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s just not worth the hassle right now.
