Far too greedy
Sadly, although the stories in this app seem to be decent, the actual cost of them is extortionate. Especially when you compare to other apps whose cost is infinitely lower for a very similar offering.
I’ve actually gone ahead and deleted this as I won’t be paying more for three or four chapters than I would pay for an entire app or story somewhere else. Such a shame.
Too expensive
I like the app, although it's annoying that I keep having to pay for a chapter. It'd be great if only the climax/important chapters needed vouchers or coins. It ruins the experience and makes me forget about the app since I can't keep reading. It's basically impossible to read more than one chapter a day, without paying actual money; since you only get to watch a few ads to gain some vouchers. I also wouldn't say it's very inclusive because the daily tasks are also suggesting you should spend money. An example of a daily task could be : 'purchase your first coin bundle' or 'sign in on ________(an app)' leaving me with only one task I could do for free with no issues. Overall, I think more people would injoy the app if the chapters were free.
Disappointing
If I could give zero stars I would. I paid £20 for the monthly subscription today - I haven’t made it halfway through 1 book and it’s already charging me again to buy more chapters.
No help available
I was reading a series finished book 1 and went on to book two. Was telling someone about the app and screen shot the first few pages of book one.
Now it won’t let me go back and read the other half of book 2 :-(
I’ve messaged and get no response
So coins id paid for have now gone
No audio.
I heard an ad for it, and I was super intrigued by how the story would end but however when I got help to download it. It was apparently in reading form. There was audio like the ad. I figure there could have been audio stories but there isn’t. Which is shameful and little discriminated against the blind community.
good story
dont understand what everyones issue is as if theyve been scammed when it literally tells you in the subscription agreement (available before you purchase anything) that after subscribing, the coins and vouchers recieved each month are limited and that if you need more coins, to please make an additional recharge. its not a bad app and has not scammed anyone, it has it there clear as day. the only issue for me is how quick you obviously do run out as each chapter is 50 coins/vouchers but the story im reading is making me very invested so im not bothered x
Some things need to be fixed !
I quite honestly think who ever owns this app is being extremely greedy. First of all I am subscribed to a few book apps and they have the highest monthly subscription I have seen so far. If that was the only issue it would be okay. For 20 pound a month it should be unlimited reading! This is ridiculous why am I having to pay extra on top of a monthly subscription? It’s extremely disappointing for such a high price , judging by the rest of these reviews they do not take any of them seriously and don’t seem to care about the unhappy customers. If this subscription meant unlimited reading I would keep paying, even 3 books unlimited a month would even be something they need to fix this asap !
Waste of time.
Better off with a kindle. You can’t read a book, just chapters which you have to buy. At least with kindle you can buy whole books.
rigged/scam
i have noticed that if you collect a lot of tokens which are needed to unlock chapters then they raise the price of each chapter so you can only read 2 per day. I saved some tokens up over the course of 2 days and they put the prices up of each chapter to 70 tokens in comparison to its usual 40 tokens therefore meaning i could not read more than 2-3 chapters despite saving. I then noticed that once it took all my tokens that the price of the chapter went back down to 40. This app is totally rigged and a scam so don’t bother downloading. I have also noticed so many grammatical errors in the book i’m reading and they are poorly written. I thinks. teenage could write this better. I’ve calculated that it is going to take me 180 days to finish this short story due to then continuously raising the cost of chapters when you have ‘too many tokens’. Ridiculous and not worth it.
A terrible and money grabbing app
There are some great books on here, which is really unfortunate if you can’t then locate them on Amazon or Google, as you’re basically paying anything up to £1 for 10 pages in a book that has anything up to 650 chapters, they also change your settings so whilst your readings a chapter, you’ll get to the end and flip over to the next and are automatically charged for it, even if you turn that’s setting off, they’ll just turn it back on for you. Don’t allow yourself to be dragged into this type of app, you’d be better off reading reviews on Amazon and paying £3-£5 on there for a whole story and not 10 pages.
