This app is supposed to help disabled people but it feels very exploitative. Deaf people need to be able to hear all the time. Not just 5 hours a month.
I understand that the team requires funding but charging an arm and leg for people who are already struggling feels unethical 
It requires an annual subscription fee for $99 and then you have to pay extra every month to use it a decent amount of time

A few months ago, I downloaded 7 day trail. I really liked Live Transcribe and its amazing speech features, so we paid for the yearly subscription for the first time. Then it suddenly stopped working. I tried everything, even Apple Support tried to fix it on my iPhone, but nothing worked. 

We feel like this might be a scam, or at least it’s very disappointing. I requested a refund and will never download or pay it for it again. Live Transcribe didn’t provide a contact phone number, and although I emailed them and got a ticket, I never received any follow up. Their automated system is not helpful at all!

I am impressed with this app! I can be included in conversations with or without my hearing aid. But now it seems the app has slowed down in translation. It gets really behind and I have to wait to see what was said before I say something. Also very expensive and move Deaf people will not be able to afford this app. Please speak up the translation.

Live transcribe has helped better my work life as a hearing impaired person! it works with many different accents. 95% accurate. 
Theres only one small down fall, you can not use it on the same device you are making calls on. maybe a future update could include this

It looks like Live Transcribe bought out Hearing Helper which was a fantastic app and it was free. Now at a cost of $99 USD per year for Live Transcribe, there are many hearing impaired people on a limited income who won’t be able to afford it.

I subscribed for the year despite maintaining my old 1 star review.

A few months ago I did a free trial and then purchased 10 hours thinking I could Pay As I Go (misleading IAP).  The team of 3 would have earned more annually from me via pay per use. So I lost those hours when the trial expired. 

Anyway I subscribed simply because it's the best. Picked my poison as a manner of speaking.
100x better than native Live Captions (even in offline mode too!!), will stay reliably onscreen for hours auto captioning a dinner table nicely.

As I software develop and run an accessibility company, I understand business needs. But this is a really bad "own goal".

Still sad the lost hours were lost though; and that my feature request submission was ignored. For this reason I remain an annual subscriber while also keeping this 1-star review.

I’m a subscriber and I use this app for short-sentence communication with a deaf relative. I’m NOT liking the recently added feature of being asked to save translations when clearing them. This slows down a conversation steam and has no purpose for simple conversation exchange. Please make this an option in settings to turn on or off. Thank you.
