Live Transcribe

Pleased with what I could hear of transcription.

I subscribed for the year despite maintaining my old 1 star review. A few months ago I did a free trial and then purchased 10 hours thinking I could Pay As I Go (misleading IAP). The team of 3 would have earned more annually from me via pay per use. So I lost those hours when the trial expired. Anyway I subscribed simply because it's the best. Picked my poison as a manner of speaking. 100x better than native Live Captions (even in offline mode too!!), will stay reliably onscreen for hours auto captioning a dinner table nicely. As I software develop and run an accessibility company, I understand business needs. But this is a really bad "own goal". Still sad the lost hours were lost though; and that my feature request submission was ignored. For this reason I remain an annual subscriber while also keeping this 1-star review.

I’m a subscriber and I use this app for short-sentence communication with a deaf relative. I’m NOT liking the recently added feature of being asked to save translations when clearing them. This slows down a conversation steam and has no purpose for simple conversation exchange. Please make this an option in settings to turn on or off. Thank you.

It’s incredibly useful for communicating with my deaf relative. Very good at transcribing my words and very legible for her to read. I’d give it 10 stars if possible!

Recommended by a Deaf friend, I shared this with my dad who’s Hard of Hearing for a large event we attended. Great result and my dad felt more included overall. I use it to transcribe content quickly and find the black background, white letters, and larger fonts fantastic for easy use.

I find this app very helpful.

The demo of this app was great, so I ponied up for the paid version. Come to find out, even with a subscription, I only get 5h every 12 days to use the demo/premium version. However, the subscription comes with a free unlimited basic version that is absolutely terrible. Talk to text for iMessenger is a million times better! So glad I only paid for a month, and not the annual subscription they try to push. It is a complete sham that they market this basic service for people with hearing disability - it could be malpractice! Definitely looking for other options, have already cancelled subscription.
