I read a little bit about this app and it looked amazing. I download it it. Then I read about all the personal information and data that they take and share with other companies. I’m not having any of that. I deleted it without even opening it. It’s far from free. No, thank you!
Why is it locked to a horizontal layout?
This app is not well serviced technically. The videos don’t advance correctly and when the app shots off it doesn’t reset. Even-though-the actual news is playing on the background the image is fro the previews vier. Their tech people are amateurs.
The functionality is there, you get a ton of video feeds from various sources. My preference is for the Roku interface. Bringing this to iOS would be better

Articles, at times take a long time to load and app often freezes on my ipad. I started watching it onmy chrome browser and it is much better.
The app is clunky and missing many features that allow you to watch and view news. 1- It only runs in full screen mode, minimizing the app stops all playback. Why? This mean once it’s playing it’s the obly thing you can do on the device. 🙈 2- the app constantly restarts videos and it can take many restarts before it plays a full video. Forcing you to re watch the beginning of each clip many times. This is not a personal internet bandwidth issue, my line is a 10gb line and the app still struggling smooth playback. 3- as one clip finishes it stutters and wants to play advertising but then jumps back to the same video. It plays for a second goes to blank screen and then restarts the video. Awful! 4- it constantly plays the same advertisement over and over until you quit the app. I subscribed before to remove but canceled due to issues above and more. It has the intentions of being a good app, but fails in its narrow minded approach to features and execution of code to create a stable platform. Disappointing and frustrating to use.
With Haystack, I have no need for other news apps. It is clearly the best. The selection is amazing. I use it religiously every day.
This app only works in landscape view. Please add a portrait view mode as well, plus add reading mode to read full news. Apart from this, this is the best news app I have ever used. Thanks.
