It was fine on my iPhone 13 for a while. Suddenly lost the pronunciation. It says playing but no sound can be heard. I will modify the rating when the application becomes more stable.

Sadly the *audio* pronunciations are for common words only, not rare or uncommon words. There is no system integration at all, so spotlight/siri doesn’t work with this dictionary. The in app search is not live/auto reactive, so if you struggle with spelling that may be an issue.
Not what I was expecting. Was more expecting a dictionary that can be read through. Waste of money.
You don’t get much for the price! No thesaurus feature a terrible search bar that offers no predictive text function so if you’re not sure on the spelling you’ve got no hope unless you want to browse and scroll through thousands of words. Look elsewhere.
The app pronunciation function does not work on iPhones!! Complete waste of $20. Looking for a refund as that was the pure purpose of my purchase.
Results are too limited. Irritating need to press word again once you have typed it and it shows correctly in search. Included results, if any beyond basic meaning, are limited. Sound info on pronunciation differences non-existent, other than a statement that one exists. Option to go to full site to find out more leads you to discover that you are no longer a “paid subscriber” after 1 year, after signing in, of course. This is the most expensive app I have ever purchased and is at least $6 more than any other app I’ve paid for. If there’s a reason, I haven’t found one. The free dictionary provides so much more - sourcing extra info is easy - and worth the irritation of the ads - compared to the MD app making you go elsewhere to get the full answer, all the while, still on your mobile phone, using internet, when the whole point of an app is that you can do that with ease and without frustration. Totally love the hard copy, but I can’t take it everywhere and, when I bought the app, I thought it would be so much more for the price. Sucked in by the price thinking it would be like having the hardcopy on my phone ... or Something better than it is. N
I can’t read what I type into the search box. The text is invisible. Also, ever heard of a night mode? Or at least something more subtle? The colour scheme is garish. Especially the green, it’s way fluro.
this app is an honest-to-God joke. Even more so now after the update than it was before; which is saying a lot. Please people, don’t waste your money. Read my previous review.
Good to finally see an update in Dec 2019 after many years. Hopefully these will be more frequent in the future. It is fantastic to have an Australian dictionary at hand on your phone. Macquarie is the standard and I use it regularly. The interface could do with some improvement to make it a little more intuitive. Also, synonyms and antonyms are missing.
It’s hard for this dictionary to compete with the free online ones like Oxford and Webster. It’s even harder when it’s last update was 2016. Be careful when you purchase it. It’s a little old.
