Need filter to remove member-only stories and notifications. Tired of getting notifications from this app to realise they are member-only stories. I do not wish to subscribe to Medium for now, stop forcing it. Uninstalled the app today. Will install in a year again to see if anything has changed.

It’s satisfying to see many precise thoughts on the great industrial machine and its shortcomings

I read on the Medium app every day. It’s good, but that’s all. It has many UX issues though that also every day make me frustrated. Touch targets that are too small, unintuitive interface actions that you have trial and error to discover, interface actions that can’t be reversed, difficulty finding required settings, difficulty finding features, etc etc etc

I thought this was a great App until I had to cancel my subscription. Of which I did via my secure account in the App only to find they continue taking money from my account. Make sure you screen shot your cancellations so as to provide PayPal with some proof. This App does not email a confirmation of cancellation so you have no proof, this enables them to continue to steal from your account. They know the loop hole and take it. Maybe someone should write an article about this disgusting practice by millions of App holders. Grand theft!

Can’t update the app and refuses to let me read articles

The selection of speaker type (male, female, US, UK etc) works on website but this function seems to be missing in ipad app. If not possible, then how about using the ipados accessibility voice options instead? Also, too much AI content- add a button where users can tap if AI suspicions are triggered by odd expression etc.

This app cancels and shames biological women for wanting their voices heard.
