Needs to have a weather radar to be worthy of a subscription. I definitely would consider a lifetime purchase if it had a few more necessary features. Still giving it 5 stars for the UI and accuracy.
I have it set to Apple weather and it is not the same as the Apple weather app. The temperatures are slightly different. I really enjoy the app though but it’s gotta be accurate. I will give a little more time. To see if it changes if not it’s worth paying for.
This is the first weather app I’ve enjoyed using since Dark Sky. Possibly the best function they both had (have) is screen tidiness. I can see pretty much everything without scrolling or switching views, but it’s not cluttered. Very clean UI - not super flat or borderless like many free weather apps since iOS 7 ditched skeuomorphism. I admire the option to select a lifetime license for premium features, reducing subscription fatigue while purchasing the full package. I would love to see an android version someday soon and a radar feature as other reviewers have requested.

Great update. Really like the large widget, I will now use it daily. I would like the option in color choices to make the background black. I selected system and I use dark mode, but the widget is lite.
Keeps crashing, not native so it feels janky and slow (ported from iOS app). Good app on iOS, bad “app” on Mac. No free lunches, none, ported apps are either bad like this one or somewhat kinda ok (like Ivory) but none of them are great, none of them feel native, none of them respond well, none of them follow Mac conventions, they all smell weird.
It is a great app with great features. I love that it is available on Mac, too. Apple TV next?
Where is the radar?
Update: Thanks Kai for the quick response. No idea how I missed the tap and hold feature. Still holding on to one star awaiting the iPad update:) Also want to note that this works well on my Vision Pro! Not sure if devs actually used this on an iPad? On my 13” the app only utilizes 50% of the screen real estate- that would be okay if it was not for the fact that seeing wind details (when activated in settings) is useless on the small widget. I would have like to see the ability to tap that “widget” and have it zoom out taking up a larger space so you can actually see the values of the wind speed etc…This is true on the phone too. For now I canceled my subscription so it will not renew at the end of the year…if it improves I will sign up again.
