When we practice, we have to keep turning it on and off. The on/off button is very tiny on the corner and it’s difficult to hit when you are standing somewhat far away and have instrument/bow in your hand. Has different sounds to choose from so you can use a more subtle woodblock sound or a sharper beep sound. You can choose time signature and use subdivisions. To select tempo, you can either scroll on the tempo line or hit the -/+ buttons to move just 1 bpm at a time. You can’t type in a tempo, so it might take a couple seconds longer than usual to switch from a fast tempo like 180 to something slow like 50, because you will scroll for most of it then hit -/+ to get your exact number. Very workable though. When you open the app, it always starts with an ad page for upgrade which you close out before accessing the metronome. So you have to do that each time, but again for a free app I think it’s great. The visual indicator of the tempo is a line that slides back and forth with each beat, not consecutive dots that light up, in case that matters to you.
