Scan options NERFED

Microsoft nerfed the scan to file functionality in early NOVEMBER. You can no longer redo the crop, rotate, or edit the image. Further once you add a new scan you can only reorder the images. You can no longer delete an image in a multiple page scan. I’m very disappointed and miss the old feature set.

Picture or scan settings missing after update

Suddenly I can’t select what type of picture or scan I want to take, like business card, document, photo. It defaults to PDF only. I need the option back for photos

What search

Laughable. Search is non-existent. Can’t find a file by partial name. Apparently search won’t look in sun-folders.

Latest update removed options to capture a whiteboard, document, business card, or photo and name the file when saving. Still works on Android at the moment.

Garbage

Doesn’t sync with Apple devices anymore. Recent update has destroyed syncing. Old filenames now aren’t recognized and has errors every time I open a spreadsheet. Phone support from wherever was useless and can’t understand a word they say. Workarounds didn’t work. Oh, I could apparently pay for co-pilot and maybe that would work? Don’t worry about your new “Pride theme,” it works… Microsoft (Bellevue, WA) is extremely “confused” and doesn’t care about usability and user experience. Microsoft 365 paid subscription is now canceled. Don’t bother with Microsoft products unless you’re using Windows. What a joke!

Shell of It’s Former Self

(TL;DR at the end) I've used this app pretty much every day for the past two years, and it worked great. I used it for organizing my Word Docs, PowerPoints, and Excel Sheets, but primarily to make PDFs out of physical papers. Recently, I opened the app to convert a paper into a PDF, and noticed immediately that the menu was slightly different: There used to be options between taking photos of a document, business card, whiteboard, or just a plain photo. This didn’t bother me immediately because I figured they were basically the same and honestly didn’t use any of them except for the document option. After I took my first picture of a two page document, I noticed the menu was different there too. However this wasn’t a bad change, because it actually seemed much more intuitive and looked better overall. But it was when I went to edit my photos in the PDF that I noticed the major issue of this update: 5 of the previous 8 options suddenly vanished. Previously, the editing options included: Add, Reorder, Filters, Ink, Crop, Text, Rotate, and Delete. But now, there are only THREE options: Reorder, Add, and Filters. I can understand not needing a few of these options, but seriously Microsoft, if I accidentally take a photo of something unrelated, I now have to start over and delete my other photos as well? This new update seriously saw Microsoft delete the majority of their photo editing options. My only question is simply why were these very useful options removed? Were this five buttons costing Microsoft millions upon millions of dollars every year to maintain? Did Microsoft have a personal vendetta about these options? My only hope is that they bring back these options in a VERY near update. TL;DR: Microsoft removed some very useful options from their app in order to be more streamlined, and made the app worse in the process.

Bring back the Edit Photo Option

App works great but the newest version takes away the ability to add a text box as well as other editing options. Now I can no longer using OneDrive the way I did before. I have to take photos from a different app and upload them to OneDrive. This adds unnecessary steps to my process.

Cannot take regular pictures

Suddenly, onedrive is not letting me take regular pictures. It only lets me take pictures in PDF format. I need this for my job and is taking longer than it should

Bring back the scan settings

New update wants to be streamlined but has removed valuable edit settings to rotate pictures and do other things after scanning. Please bring those settings back as they are the main reason I use OneDrive app.
