The same situation exists with more familiar bands. A search for “Rolling Stones” for example, will throw up any use of either word in any article, as well as for the band itself. The writing in MOJO is consistently excellent and the emphasis on the classic sounds of the 70’s and 80’s alongside newer stuff makes for an enjoyable read. Some pages look really fuzzy on the iPad screen, certainly not enjoyable to read like this. For a proper iPad version, I’d expect the text (at least) to be crystal clear (vector graphics). The photos, well OK, we can live with a scan, as there is not much you can do. Or at least, scan the pages in a resolution that is high enough for a crisp, quality read on the iPad. If they are scanned at a resolution good enough for the iPhone, then they will NOT work well on the iPad, for sure! Slightly zooming in (and you can only slightly zoom in) reveals limitations of the resolution used. It doesn't remember my place in the magazine I was reading. The toolbar is always visible. It just feels a bit clunky. The Wire magazine has a really good replica app: subscribers can access every issue ever made, search across them all and can download the cover CDs too. Perfect. I'd love to get access to mp3s of Mojo's cover CDs but my only option is to subscribe to the print version too. I don't want the print version. It'a a great mag which I want to read digitally but the app doesn't do it justice. -- Prawntot, 2016-06-10 ### **--- "Very good magazine, disappointing digital offering" If you've read Mojo in print form, you'll already know that it's one of the better UK music magazines - the reviews always dependable and insightful, the articles usually interesting and well written. Sadly this app falls into the same trap as many other offerings from print magazines, providing nothing more than a straight transfer of the printed page to screen. It would be so easy these days to liven it up with audio and video (how about embedded relevant content from YouTube, Apple Music or Spotify to accompany articles and reviews?), never mind truly interactive stuff. Worse still even the straight transfer has problems - including a typeface that's all over the place, ugly headers and footers that won't go away, and limited zoom - which only leave you wanting to reach for your old paper copy. -- MikeWEvans73, 2016-04-11 ### *---- "Very poor" This app and the whole process of getting the registration to work is flawed.the problem seems to lie with the 2 different paths of registration and despite repeated contact with the magazine support team I just keep getting a blanket email.
