Also good search and reports possibilities. I've been using Money since 2019 and the app has evolved a lot since then, for the better. I don't use direct connection with my banks, thus avoiding the monthly fees. The point of having your own financial app is to organize your transactions your own way, with consistent categories that you will recognize and remember. Banks each set categories their own way, often not relevant. So I enter my transactions myself and check against my banks monthly statements. The app is complete and complex and implies quite a learning curve. The main problem of the interface is problaly due to modern standards: small typeface and unclear writing fields (I'm and old folk and the 2001 application I was using before (Quicken) would now look primitive, but was far clearer). The worst is probably the confusion between categories and the transfer function, and the transaction programming function which is far, far too complex,like a programmer on the run. -- Dickcissel2, 2024-09-25 ### ****- "Rules!" Why is it so complicated to make a rules like any other expense management app? We need to be able to select a transaction and create a rule for it without having to go the settings menu, look for the transaction and create a rule for it, it will make my life much easier! Had to finally go to bank website and download cvs files and do an import. backup files are not to be found and niether is current file in a folder to be found. I live in Canada. The bank syncing worked well but the stock trading syncing was a mess. The app was not straightforward, it was difficult to navigate. I deleted the app and moved on. Best solution should be to have a in-house sync mechanism (with account authentication, such as google, etc.). I must’ve tried over 25 apps and nothing came close to this. This app helps you track the expense budget it and also save it by location. I truly feel the developer has covered all fronts. It would be a 5 starrer for me if I was able to include someone else (share) my expense list with someone else or when I update they get notified through this app downloaded on their phone.
