Motive Driver

App is great, clean but missing a feature to use location of your phone to automatically log your drive time. That would make it a 10/10 app.

The idea behind the Motive Driver app is commendable, but unfortunately, the app is plagued with significant bugs and misinformation. The most glaring issue is the inaccurate driving score system, which often provides misleading feedback. For instance, while driving at night wearing black gloves, I was listening to a lecture and briefly held my ear to hear better. Despite claiming to use advanced AI technology, the app mistakenly notified my manager that I was hiding a phone (an iPhone 15) in my hand. This error is not only frustrating but also highlights the app's failure to accurately interpret actions, making it seem foolishly smart. Additionally, there seems to be little difference in the driving score whether one is driving extremely cautiously or carelessly. This undermines the app's credibility and usefulness for improving driving habits. Until these serious issues are addressed, the app's potential remains unrealized.

App not accepting phone number! Is it for European use only?

Doesn’t work proper, no link to take a break only sleeper berth, so you’re always getting hos violations. Pretty sad when someone who isn’t a developer has to tell you to add a damn break link

Wasn’t a bad app in the beginning. But then they keep updating it and making it more cumbersome with every update. Also mark you regularly for speeding when you are at the posted speed. Maybe should stop this function til they figure out how to get the correct road speeds.

Every update see it get less and less economical. Requiring more and more input. More scrolling, more signing, more typing with nothing committed to memory basically at all. Its very nearly like running paper logs. Except paper logs have the common courtesy of staying the same.

In Canada, trip inspection MUST include vehicle licence WITH jurisdiction, yet Motive still doesn’t have it. We also require jurisdiction with plate when listing equipment in the daily log. Also, besides pre and post trip inspection, there should be an option for on going monitoring, as in on-route inspection. If I find a defect in the middle of my day, and report as required, I can only select pre or post? That isn’t truthful now, is it.

This app is just as bad as the customer service you get. When you call and get a reply the next day later. I don’t know why you can’t delete old notifications Fix this
