Egypt’s Dar Alifta organizes an international Fatwa conference yearly. These conferences has attracted international attention from Grand Muftis, policy makers and international media over the years. The theme of this year international conference touches on the Fatwa and the challenges of the third millennium to be held on the 18-19 October 2023 in Cairo. The conference aims to
•Emphasize the role of fatwa in addressing critical issues. •Identify the most pressing challenges confronting hu- manity in the third millennium.
•Support global efforts to tackle health, economic, and other challenges.
•Affirm the importance of upholding virtuous values and ethics.
•Counteract ethical and intellectual deviations that seek to distort the innate sound nature of human beings, as created by God.
•Highlight the role of religion in the lives of individuals and societies, while cautioning against solely pursuing materialism without considering religious and human values.
•Encourage the responsible utilization of technological advancements for the benefit of humanity and in align- ment with its aspirations.
•Establish guidelines for technological progress that pri- oritize the preservation of human well-being, the envi- ronment, and the universe.
•Enhance the effectiveness of fatwa through electronic means.
•Address the negative aspects of the digital space. Introduce fatwa initiatives to confront the challenges of the third millennium.
